Any plan for the Priest?
Has Darrell built the Jewish shrine?

Priest I'm probably going to save for another GA...I already gave Darrell a GP for the jewish shrine. I have an Academy in the capital, Shrine, bulbed for Edu, golden age'd a GP...gifted away to Darrell...so 6 GP, total, I think that is right.
Other than wanting Sushi, I don't really have any other plans. As much as State Property could be cool, it won't compare with Sushi with so much seafood. Golden ages all of the way...I suppose the main question comes down to Rep or PS, the rest of the civics are pretty much spoken for.
So...Rep/PS, Vassalage/NH, CS/Slavery, Merc/nothing, Theo/FR, are the only real choices, and I don't think I really need another revolt any time soon.

This might be a lie.
OMFG I really really don't like the position I'm in now.
Quote:(10:32:04 PM) Darrell: Im going to whip cannon until we get MT and Rifling
(10:32:14 PM) Darrell: dont see the need to draft or whip frigates
(10:32:17 PM) Darrell: probably go rifles next myself
(10:32:23 PM) Krill: yrah, cannon makes the most sense
(10:32:27 PM) Krill: ok
(10:32:40 PM) Krill: Well, I'm about 10 turns from Mil Sci at absolute worst
(10:32:41 PM) Darrell: sned me the odd screenshot of your war with dreylin, I want to see his suffering
(10:32:50 PM) Darrell: if you somehow end up losing, keep 'em to yourself
(10:32:53 PM) Darrell: 10 turns :O
(10:32:54 PM) Darrell: ouch
(10:33:06 PM) Darrell: maybe I should gold fund your MS research
(10:33:26 PM) Darrell: or vice versa actually...with rep I might have better peak beakers
(10:33:40 PM) Krill: We've kept techs separate this far...
(10:33:51 PM) Darrell: Im pretty much all in with you
(10:34:00 PM) Darrell: i.e. I don't see a way to win and would hate to see dreylin win
(10:34:07 PM) Darrell: so consider me a semi-vassal
(10:34:42 PM) Krill: Dude you are solid second place
(10:34:55 PM) Darrell: yeah but I can't win...too many constraints from my shoddy diplo work
(10:34:59 PM) Krill: And my last 6 turns were GA
(10:35:26 PM) Darrell: I plan on getting two GSs between know and biology...we should get there fast.
(10:35:31 PM) Darrell: maybe that is better than rifling
(10:35:44 PM) Darrell: Actually, I wonder if three GSs are possible with rifling inserted in my tech path
(10:35:51 PM) Darrell: thats half of SM and most of Biology
(10:36:07 PM) Krill: That's a lot of GS
(10:36:11 PM) Darrell: yes
(10:36:13 PM) Darrell: my capital
(10:36:28 PM) Darrell: when I decided military didn't make sense instead of making it a destoryer every other turn factory I made it a GS factory.
(10:36:39 PM) Darrell: Observatory+Lib+Oxford = 6 scientitsts
(10:36:49 PM) Darrell: NE of course
(10:37:00 PM) Darrell: I get one next turn
(10:37:03 PM) Darrell: so really its only two more
(10:37:18 PM) Krill: Same with my capital...NE just fits the bill. I haven't got a single uni yet though...
(10:37:43 PM) Darrell: I whipped 'em hard, to conicide with my stone coming onlijne from Yaz's capital
(10:37:46 PM) Darrell: oxford is just too nice
(10:37:53 PM) Darrell: I gotta go rep to really take advantage of it
(10:38:03 PM) Darrell: be getting about 100 beakers out of my capital I think.
(10:38:03 PM) Krill: Your tech with Rep will be rather sickening
(10:38:19 PM) Darrell: yeah...that's why I was thinking GA, to get the free swap
(10:38:23 PM) Darrell: probalby just bite the bullet though
(10:38:31 PM) Darrell: bulb helps a lot more now thats for sure
(10:38:39 PM) Darrell: once we get sid's its O-V-E-R
(10:38:43 PM) Darrell: there is a small chance for a GE or GM.
(10:38:46 PM) Darrell: Not sure what that does to me
(10:39:15 PM) Krill: I have a GP...I could send you that for a second GA
(10:39:24 PM) Darrell: or vice versa
(10:39:34 PM) Darrell: with SoL being the gating item, I think you still tech better
(10:39:35 PM) Krill: Yours will speed the GS and tech
(10:39:41 PM) Darrell: hmm
(10:39:44 PM) Darrell: it does speed the GS thats true
(10:39:50 PM) Darrell: I'll do a bit of math
(10:39:58 PM) Darrell: if I can get two GSs then that might work best
(10:40:04 PM) Darrell: I have a GM saved already BTW, from econ
(10:40:04 PM) Krill: that research number was at zero science
(10:40:09 PM) Darrell: hah!
(10:40:13 PM) Krill: I'm making 130 base beakers just from merchants
(10:40:14 PM) Darrell: yours you mean?
(10:40:16 PM) Darrell: hah
(10:40:18 PM) Darrell: thats funny
(10:40:20 PM) Darrell: you in caste?
(10:40:22 PM) Krill: yeah
(10:40:23 PM) Darrell: or just grocers/markets?
(10:40:27 PM) Darrell: I toyed with caste
(10:40:29 PM) Krill: Rep/Vas/Caste/Merc/Theo
(10:40:31 PM) Darrell: the idea of it that is
(10:40:35 PM) Darrell: wow
(10:40:39 PM) Darrell: now nationalism huh?
(10:40:46 PM) Krill: I don;t really need it
(10:40:52 PM) Krill: my cities are almost maxed out on happy
(10:40:56 PM) Krill: and I only have a couple of barracks
(10:40:57 PM) Darrell: merc would explain my trade income drop
(10:41:03 PM) Krill: I don;t need them for 2 promo muskets or knights
(10:41:06 PM) Darrell: but thats fine I get plenty from the toehrs
(10:41:17 PM) Darrell: lost about 10% at one piont
(10:41:19 PM) Darrell: didnt dig into why
(10:41:22 PM) Krill: Uh, sorry....
(10:41:28 PM) Darrell: my muskets are not very promoted
(10:41:44 PM) Darrell: I've got a small pipe of units heading your way, they'll trickle in for a while
(10:42:05 PM) Krill: *shrug* numbers are the main deal against Dreylin...
(10:42:14 PM) Darrell: dirty dog getting MS
(10:42:22 PM) Krill: control the seas, split his military, then take one city at a time
(10:42:22 PM) Darrell: Hope he's dumb enough to trade it to me
(10:42:34 PM) Krill: You never ever know
(10:42:49 PM) Darrell: Ironclads aren't that far away...if I get a GE I might as well save him for mining, inc.
(10:42:56 PM) Darrell: well
(10:43:00 PM) Krill: That'd be pretty solid...
(10:43:04 PM) Darrell: yeah
(10:43:07 PM) Krill: brb 2 minutes
(10:43:11 PM) Darrell: sure
WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME! :fireball:

Have both Dreylin and Darrell gift you their armies, and then just sit on the troops so you don't have to grievously break any agreements.
Alternatively, collect their troops and then betray them both

While that would be one way of doing it...I currently owe Darrell an island and Dreylin, well, I owe him a head a suppose, and I doubt if he cares if it is Darrells' or my own.
OK, let me think this through.
Originally I was allied with Darrell, who strong armed a game long NAP/border agreement (he got an island from Dreylin,I got one with the gold) from me, then screwed up my plan to attack Dreylin, and settled the island that was agreed to be mine. I then approached Dreylin (and SL).
Drelyin, SL and myself agree to attack Darrell, at first thinking that I will plant a city and gift it to Dreylin, and then gift him my army right next to Darrell. We would split hte land, with me maybe giving up an island to keep it equal.
This then changes to me attacking Darrell because I find out Darrell has settled the island, yet has not provided units to attack Dreylin with, which really pissed me off because it meant Darrell was effectively breaking a border agreement and actively sabotaging my interests.
Darrell then comes to me, says sorry, gifts me the two cities on the island. Starts to gift me units to attack Dreylin with. Is about to revolt to Rep and start pumping GS out of his capital, and we already have an agreement to split Sids (which yes, will effectively make the game a lot easier for me). And has admitted that he doesn't really have a chance to win himself and doesn't want my other main competitor to win.
---
It would be just so much easier if I used Darrells' tech to bootstrap myself back to complete dominance. But do I want an easy game? I do know I don't want to backstab if I can help it, and I'm always in favour of doing something to make the game entertaining instead of boring. But me with Darrell as Pseudo-vassal is not particularly interesting, in the same way as you don't expect Liverpool to play a good game of football.
So what precisely is the problem? I think it's this: If I do win, I don't want it to be gifted to me.

I'm going to kill everyone, OKAY? That much is clear. And whatever I do, I'm either taking out either Dreylins' entire island or kicking Darrell off my island, in one turn.

Not long before I'm forced to do a major update, but in the meantime:
Ruff: DR in 597
Dreylin: Constitution in 1
SL: RP in 1 (GA ends this turn IIRC)
Krill: Corp in 6 (max tax )
Darrell: SM in 2 (just went GA, he traded and Artist for a Prophet)
Yes, my economy sucks. But it is very good at building units...and I haven't even started to draft or slave yet.
