That's the way I seem to be leaning as well. Or solo practice games to work on creep technique.
(Haven't yet figured out why solo games are only possible most of the time.)

Use solo normal games to learn new champions, so you don't subject your 5v5 teammates to your horrible XY or Z character, as you try to figure out what their spells do, and how to build said character.

During peak usage times (following patches and new character releases), they increase the required number of players for a practice game, to reduce server load. Imagine how many players make games against 9 bots to try out a new character. Imagine how quickly an extra 1000, 2000, 3000, whatever, number of games kills server performance.

It's fine. Learning about positioning would really help you new guys, as you get more comfortable with the game.
Man, Shurelia's voice is annoying though.

Right, because the solo queue is so much more forgiving about that sort of thing.

Sensible.

Actually there is the possibility to join/open a practice match that has "test champion" as name.
I am in a different region/timezone, so I play a lot of solo games and it is really annoying if you have 9 decent players and one who is dying 15 times in 25 minutes because he has no clue about the champion.

Nobody should be dying 15 times in 25 minutes. That would indicate a lack of game knowledge, just just lack of character knowledge.

I sent friend requests to everyone listed in the first post of this thread.
I tried my first two 5 v 5 matches with real humans instead of AIs. I've been using Garen. I went 4/3/5 my first match, and 1/2/4 in the second before everyone quit out on the other team. I feel like I get more assists than I should because people hang around and use a high damage spell while I am using my spinny-sword-thing, but that doesn't upset me too much. If I just got better with my ultimate, I would definitely finish guys more often.
I still think my natural inclination is to play too aggresively, and I think I might stay out too long initially before returning to upgrade. But I have gotten much better at farming creeps. I think I got about 120 creeps in the one game that actually played out.

He's got good survivability, which gives you more margin for error as you learn how to position yourself, and does pretty decent damage between his spin and a sunfire cape or two. And you should be able to get a kill pretty much every team fight, once you get the hang of his ult (which is notoriously buggy, and kind of a pain to use).

Just happened to me yesterday, it was actually a level 21 player. But if someone plays Twitch and calls himself something like "deathbringer666" what do you expect ?

I wouldn't worry to much about who gets the kill anyway, as long as your team wins the fight. First of all, you get gold for assists as well (70% of killer's amount if nobody else helped) and secondly it's better to have a sure kill than an opponent who slips away because you avoided the possible killsteal.
