Played an 85 minute game tonight (!!!), with four of us in a team and one random Heimer player. Heimer complained constantly throughout the game, insisting that we were all noobs and that we would win if we simply "STFU" and listed to his haxxor advice. (This despite his inability to push down the mid tower despite 25 minutes in a solo lane. A Heimer who can't push effectively... ) Heimer also made the brilliant play of selling his boots for an extra Archangel's Staff (he already had TWO), which meant that he was chased down and killed in every fight because he had no speed to escape. With the game still evenly balanced, and no clear winner, our random Heimer simply left the game because he said it was "boring." So we lose after 80+ minutes because we can't win 4 vs 5.

There is a good reason why I try to invite RBlers to a 3 or 5 people game whenever possible.
Playing with randoms is a waste of time.

I'm enjoying the Solo queue atm, but that's simply because I'm trying to work out how to play the game still. Sure a fair amount of games are 4v5 but I don't care about winning, I care about having fun in my limited play time.
OTOH, yeah, I feel your pain, there are definitely games that you don;t deserve to lose. Last night I played a game as Morde, 4v5 for over an hour when the other guy left after 5 minutes. If we'd had even a half decent player, it would have been a win for us. And I could really do with the IP.

I really hate solo queueing, games are just wrecked so often by people who rage quit/afk/disappear randomly.

OTOH, occasionally you have the perfect game with perfect strangers: Started mid, starved Warwick of last hits and the team started the snowball on the kills because they never built a tank. And it is always nice to score an ace to finish off a game.

Yeah, I've met a couple people worth keeping on the friends list (including one dude who can seriously do some nasty stuff with teemo), but sadly they're few and far between.
(and I find the Katarina with Mejei's incredibly funny Krill- all she got was 2 assists and 5 deaths!)

That's probably how the matchmaking system works:
You 4 are really good players and met an average team. So to balance the game the matchmaking system assigned you an idiot Heimer player.
Can't really argue with that if the game went on for 85 minutes ;-)

The comeback victories when your team starts off 3-15 in kills and ends up winning anyway are the best though

Not sure why you'd say 4 are really good players when you didn't know which 4 played!
Anyway after the game I think 4 out of the 10 in the game were not level 30's, 3 on our team (Sullla, Cull + myself) and one person on their team.
While our Heimer wasn't the greatest player around, I think he did raise a valid point regarding our defensive play, we outkilled the other team with ease for the first hour of the game but too often didn't push lanes + take down towers as well as the other team did. We really didn't take advantage well enough when we were ahead and once the other team caught up in farming we wre stuck playing 4v5 and 3v5 at times.
