Ok, so I ended up with Peter of Inca. Theory is not that complicated.
I chose Peter first, because I felt he was the best leader option available. Toyed with Fin/Pro but decided I wanted 2 traits not 1.05.
Civs came round to me, and the best choice (cathage) had gone, so I chose between:
Portugal (buying in to the whole 'navies are important' thing)
HRE (half buying into it, getting a more flexible UU, and having savings for any inter continent expenses)
Inca (ignoring Krill, and going for the Exp/Terrace synergy)
Bounced this round and round until I realised that there were no mysticism starts out there, which swayed it for me in the end to Inca
Have no plan atm to utilise quenchas in any way shape or form

The plan now I have made myself look stupid, is still to beeline a religion, see if I can oracle slingshot something nice (MC ideally to land colossus too).
Then expand like a crazy man as best I can

Welcome Ioan.
Any thoughts on initial plans, or do you agree with chasing the oracle?

Just few ideas :
- I belive that a religion could be researched & founded during the training of first worker.
- being Inca & lead by Peter I assume that Pottery for cheaper & powerfull granaries is almost a no-brainer.
- after this ... if nobody built it yet a diversion to Priesthood -> Oracle could be planned ...
Best regards

Hmm
Plains hill start on the coast where 'navy will be important' and a view to easy accessible other land
1 fishing reousrce, 1 agriculture resource
Capital is never going to be that production strong, but settle in place gives us 13 coastal tiles and a strong shout for Moai spot, if we do beeline MC still then that and colossus should make it a decent city, especially if we get it as holy city. Wish it was the 2nd city not the capital though.
Tech path I guess is fishing - meditation
Then want: priesthood (oracle)
Sailing (lighthouse)
Masonry (GLH)
Aggriculture, Wheel, Pottery (worker techs, half of oracle SS)
Mining, Bronzeworking (worker techs, slavery (we are food heavy), half of oracle SS)
If we move we lose the plains hill, lose at least a turn, and possible find nothing. The way Krill has placed the warrior means we reveal pretty much nothing with 1 move as well. I guess this could be a very strong SIP hint.
Ioan, can you see any option other that SIP, research fishing, build monument to grow? (see no point of worker first, as have nothing for him to do for a while)
