There is a private subforum for each team underneath this forum. It is not visible by default and to unregistered users.
Players: Go to User CP and click "Group Memberships" on the left. Here you can request to join your team's group. When the captain approves, you will see the team forum.
Captains: You are already set as leaders for your respective groups. You're responsible for approving memberships. Go to User CP - Group Memberships and you should see pending requests for you to approve. You can also remove memberships. If you want any other captains added here, let me know.
Global Lurkers: Go to User CP and click "Group Memberships" on the left. You can apply to the group named "Demo1 - Global Lurkers". I will approve all requests here. Sullla can also do this. I added Mist as a leader too. If there is any other appropriate game admin that wants or should have this power, let me know.
Global Lurkers can see all five team forums. All requests will be approved, so just sign up.  (Apologies for this step, but it wasn't easily possible to ban team members from other forums without doing this. The greater point is that unregistered accounts can't see the forums, which prevents accidental cheating by the team players by browsing while logged out.)

I think A is preferrable. I don't think anyone will be scared away from signing up if it is advertised properly. Maybe put the UN thread in the general section? Or each team can (at their own discretion) have a propaganda thread in the general section, with a time delay to prevent leaking vital information. Option A still allows lurkers to sign up globally, but it requires them to make a decision to do so. I think many would lurk globally without thinking if not specifically asked to make a decision. For this particular game, it is vital and ideal that as many players as possible pick a single team to root for. Noone will be kept out (anyone can join any team), and noone will fail to notice it either.

I've made my views on this clear so will shut up except to say,
@Catwalk, Please keep UN etc with the rest, otherwise it will be to difficult for my brain to follow. If you really want it in general then can it be in two places at a time? (Only post from hidden subforum but readable in General), not sure if possible but...

Before I go to bed I'd like people to state why they think it should be one way or another. Catwalk gave his reasoning but I think that's in one of the private (sort of) threads.
I support C because I think B does not solve any of the problems i.e spying/misclicks and both A and B seem to either restrict access or demand registration which IMO sends the wrong message.

As it's a team-specific thing, with discussion happening internally & the result of that being posted here for T-hawk to act on, you might have more luck with your lobbying if you participate in the discussion thread for the team(s) you want to sway? Rather than generically asking everyone to discuss it a second time in this thread ...
