They claim they have. They had a whole advertising push about the things they were going to improve about playing it on a PC, and better MP was on their list. I don't think we can really know until it's released and tested, though.

I picked up the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands 1 for sale on Steam a few days ago and had a blast playing through that. I'm having a severe inner conflict right now between "get your money's worth by going 100% completion on the first one" and "come on man GET BORDERLANDS 2 ALREADY".

Well, since the character classes in BL1 and BL2 are generally disjoint, there's a lot of game out there for you Tatan. The story DLCs for BL are also quite good (basically not Underdome?).

You can probably play BL1 with no wistfullness all the way to Christmas and what is surely going to be a hot-ticket item for the Steam Winter Sale. :D
