B4ndit and I were looking at participating in a new game. I do not mind what type of game as such, but I think that diplomacy being off is something I would like. Would anybody else be interested in playing?
When we have enough players, we can look to choose the best settings and so on.

As I have stated in Welcome thread, I would probably prefer pitboss game. But If next pitboss game doesn't start soon, I will be happy giving a try a PBEM game.
Diplomacy concept looks interesting for me, but I have hear about it first time couple of days ago, so my knowledge about it is pretty non-existent. But I doesnt say "no" at the moment.

Diplomacy can be a lot of fun, but it's also a huge time sink. Make sure to discuss what activity level you're aiming for with the game, important that all are on the same page.

Speaking as a player in Pitboss 14, which has full diplomacy, I can safely say that I'm probably not going to play a full diplomacy game again. While it's nice idea and all, it's too likely you'll get into some situations including (1) too much communication without getting much done, (2) people who are too difficult to negotiate with, (3) other teams working together and taking all their time to talk, which means you have to spend more time, etc. And these games get loaded with NAPs anyway. There are others but those are at the top of my head.

My choice was based on reading pitboss 2 and some of 3. The feedback there was nt good.
I don't know how to sort out a pitboss. What number of people would we need? I assumed a play by email.

Trying to duplicate PB3, with full diplo, tech trading, and a map where everyone can quickly make contact with everyone else, is probably not what you want.
Also, the usual warning: beware what you're getting into! I started such a "newbie" game in May 2013, and it's still playing, and takes at least a half an hour of time every day to play, not including the time you're going to spend thinking about it and doing other planning, etc.
People will say that if you're new you should try to team up with someone more experienced, but it's also a lot more work coordinating with a team mate than it is playing a game by yourself, so keep that in mind as well.

The two games you never want to emulate are PB3 and PBEMVII. Which should be fine because the latter is a game using the Fall from Heaven mod, and the former is seriously unlikely to get enough players to be such a huge clusterfuck. It'd just be a medium sized clusterfuck.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23
Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6: PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

Uh ... Pitboss 7?
Also, to eastway, no I don't have the time for another game right now since Pitboss 14 is taking my attention, but I might be up for another game in another 2 months perhaps, though you'll probably want to get started sooner.
