2) it really depends how much people think you are ahead. 5gpt - 20gpt. I wouldn't do yet. You have a pot of teching to do.

3) yes I would spread everywhere with courthouses. You may need to build wealth to offset the costs / advance tech faster. I had up to half my cities on wealth in pb75 during this same tech time frame. Commerce multipliers I wouldn't start any more of.

4) i would suspect xist is building in his ironworks city (which I assume you are building but hadn't finished yet).

Oh duh, I can look at using workshops, too. Gotta check for that.

10+ gpt per resource sounds too expensive :|

I think I checked for Ironworks and couldn't find it, but I'll check xist's cities again next turn in case he built it recently. I don't have Ironworks, it was in production at Star Realms (eastern-central city 3S3E of our capital), but it had to switch to Cannons during war. Star Realms will start IW again after making a few MI executives.

1) ya you can always replantation after. I forget how many dyes you have.

2) I forget what mining inc was when you were looking at but let's say .5 h per resource. With factories and power that translates across your 30 cities to 30 hammers. It's not unreasonable to turn 20gpt into 30 hammers per turn. That being said I again wouldn't do yet and when you do hopefully people sell cheaper 10gpt or below if xist is still ahead.

4) reminder you can check nation wonder screen so you don't have to manually look. And ya I figured yours was delayed; very understandable and correct.

T210 Mini-Update:

So xist and I both finished Communism T208 and the race for the Kremlin is on!
I started on Kremlin T208 and it should take 7T after all the overflow, Plantation -> workshop, near-starvation, and whipping plan set up in Small World.
I checked his cities, he doesn't have Ironworks and Carthage has a Factory, no Coal Plant.
T209, now Carthage has a Coal Plant. He can build it faster now, but he's a turn behind for finishing the Coal Plant.
T210, I got a GSpy in Blood on Clock, so now we can GA!
A GA could help us finish Kremlin even faster to make sure the race isn't even close-

Tf? He had another GE rant
Built in Carthage in just 1T.

We also received this offer T207:

I didn't respond. ~40T of peace sounds unreasonably long. He's probably worried about his 2 fresh cities at our border and wants time for their Creative Con's culture to seize more and more land.
I'm not building army much, but I am considering blitzing his closest city T212. I can hit it on the same turn I DoW (currently) and his stack is >3 tiles away.
I don't want a big war, just that city spot and to stop his high culture from taking more tiles.

Ouch. I mean its a good use of a GE. You are going to need Gira's help (I kind of think Coldrain is just not relevant much anymore). But its going to be an uphill fight.

1) Is physics scientist another toss up?
2) 40 turns is probably too long. That is nukes range and you want to hit before nukes as he has Kremlin. That being said its still awkward if you go Assembly line after physics or combustion. I would generally just wealth build a lot.

xist queued Physics and has been 0% on it so far. I queued Assembly Line and just went 100% this turn (~4T away).
My plan was to start GA shortly after finishing Assembly Line and make Factories everywhere, then amass a navy with Combustion for war.

Free Market will help my economy a lot as I'm spreading the corps, so I don't want to delay GA too much and Physics seems like a big investment right now.
Not saying that's best, just my thought process.

Wouldn't physics have been another coin flip? I don't hate the plan, assembly line is pretty good. A little risky, but its probably the best path. Like switching into org during GA.

Anything to report since you don't have a turn to play tonight? Allears

T214:

Not too much - xist sent another peace offer on T213 to T243, I ignored again. His power graph has been spiking, it's equal to mine now while he keeps drafting Infantry. He flexed his navy in the north when we reached T212 (end peace) and his stack of 55 - 60 units is sitting in the fog near our border.

I flexed my north navy, too, blocking a gap in case he was serious about invading. He has more Ironclads (~6 to my ~3), but our navies are pretty equal up there. Maybe ~25 ships each. His navy backed into fog.

My army is around 60 units like xist's, but split in several cities ~10 tiles from the border to make it harder for xist spies to get a read.

I just started Wall Street in my capital.

Xist got Physics and now he's backfilling Aesthetics (Gira, too).

Coldrain and I have open borders now and he isn't producing much military so we're likely cool again.

Gira got Sistine Chapel.

I'll finish Assembly Line on T216 and then I'll start GA.

What is your civic / tech plan for the golden age?

Sorry, meant to answer this earlier and now my GA is already 5/8 complete  duh

My tech plan was to tech to Combustion, then Physics -> Electricity -> Industrialism to start rolling out Tanks.
My civic + production plan was to switch to Org Religion + Free Market and pump out Factories + Coal Plants.
Then I'd switch back to Theocracy at the end. But now I have a question that could alter both plans... (Q1 in update below)

T221 Update: (midturn - Question 1 below)

I finished Assembly Line and entered my GA on T216. Then xist, the copy-cat, followed suit T217.
I have 3T of GA remaining.

--Edit: I just finished Combustion, xist finished Combustion T220, and now he's queueing Electricity with 1500g in the bank.--

I believe he made another 25T - 30T peace offer around then and I declined again. He caught one of my spies, but my 2nd one is still watching his stack.
Lost sight of Gira's tech around T217, putting esp points into him now to regain vision next turn.
Other than that, there hasn't been much conflict in the past several turns. Xist's power spiked up to match mine, but I'm not really building army and was worried he'd attack within the past few turns while I was Factory building, but now I'm able to start up army production and have spread Mining Inc. to all but 2 cities.

My main question right now (midturn) is whether to go for Fascism first or go for Physics -> Electricity -> Industrialism now (as originally planned). (Q1 below)
I can finish Fascism in 2T or Physics in 3T. Fascism now allows me to switch to Police State before my GA ends, otherwise I'll stick with Hereditary Rule forever.
Industrialism should take 17T - 20T to reach +2T for Fascism if we get it.
I want to go for Fascism, not sure if it's considered worse than Hereditary Rule/Representation for their +Happiness while you whip/draft.

Global Civics:

I believe xist switched to Free Religion a long while ago - before this GA. He did some crazy -29 pop whips on T219, but no power spike shows up from that, so it was probably for Coal Plants or something.

Global Techs:

China-Carthage Border:

My army is scattered across cities, about 70 units nearby to xist's 92 army stack.

Wonders:

(not building Pentagon in Small World, will try in another city like Antium)

Ahhhh that's what you meant by the National Wonder screen. I don't think I've ever looked at it before. Wall Street finishes in ~3T.

Charts/Dems:

Questions:

(Q1): Would going for Fascism now here be a misplay? I can finish it in 2T and go to Police State on my last GA turn.

(Q2): Do you usually build Coal Plants in every city? I'm building Factories and spreading Mining Inc to every city.

(Q3): Is it worth building +Health buildings this late in the game to offset the Coal Plants? I can confidently say I've never consciously built Public Transportation in a city. 2 cities are at -1 Health right now, 2 more at +0.
