The way vanrober's diplo spam is constantly misunderstood or ignored is great.

Sometimes I wonder what has more impact, combat rng or diplo interpretation rng? We already see vanrober’s trying to tell bing he can have Concordia, and bing interpreting it as a threat to not take the city. If the interpretations were reversed, how much bloodshed might result? These days you can sim complicated battles fairly easily with vodka and hedge against bad results accordingly, but no one is ever going to develop a diplo offer interpretation simulator
Diplo affects macro going forward, ultimately leading to rng effects, rng only affects after the battle. Both can get pretty huge, unexpected results, but dilli affects all interactions and rng only some. Dilli has the greater effect ini.
Regarding the "Garbo-peninsula", that area initially had 5 tundra and 5 deserts. For the tundra, 3 had forests and one had a hill, all of which would have been workable but not great. Instead they went for the short gain and chopped them. The deserts have 3 hills and one oasis, which again isn't great but workable. This area screams for windmills and serfdom down the line. Kahtan could have been moved 1N to claim a desert, which would have made Grey Eyries "waste" a tundra hill 1W.
Area as it was at the start:
To explain it some more. This is a hidden research bonus. Essentially for every player you meet and who has the tech you research, you get a smaller modifier bonus to that research

So how do we proceed with the vanrober-josh situation. From what I see this is what happened.
T113 Vanrober moved his HA 2SW of Frankfurt Josh captured Frankfurt on T113 with a 2 mover He must have seen vanrober's HAs heading towards Frankfurt. This is the first time Josh is aware vanrober is heading towards Frankfurt T114 Jesse recaptures Frankfurt T114 Josh plays before Vanrober moving his units in the position of vanrober's last screenshot Am I getting this right?

It didn't seem like Vanrober wanted a reload, just a clarification on where to play going forward.
Unless Vanrober asks for a reload, I'd say just keep playing with the updated turnorder.
Oh of course I did not want to talk about a reload. Rather I wanted to understand the situation better.
It looks like josh's scout only arrived on T114. With that info I think capturing Frankfurt on T113 was the first time Josh saw the vanrober army. This of course makes capturing the city totally fine, I guess. I don't want to ask Josh right now, but I guess he moved his units to the forest 1W of Frankfurt for three reasons. Leaving the city for vanrober to capture; stay on a better defensive tile and being able to use the road movement to advance into Jesse.
