They have the 1st half of the timer currently. From my point of view this seems alot longer than just taking screenshots or logging in to pause. Ill trust that there wasnt any swapping of builds/ect but still would prefer a PM.

Would suggest you mention that to them, or at least to Pindicator.

i will if it happens again, just wanted to rant a little bit at my situation.

Decided to send pindicator the PM. Tried to word it the best i could, probably still came out wrong. Elsewhere in the empire i am slowly but surely getting my economy back up and running. Got the peace with Chum, so im getting as much done as i can in 10 turns. Im 9 turns away from my GS, and i can at full speed teching 4t currency. At my current gold to 100% tech rate, i can 2t gold 1t full research roughly. Took alot of microing around tiles though. Wish me luck?

Im slowing my long-term prospects here, by pumping out stables/units for my short-term goals. But i will still get a GS in 8t. I will use it to bulb alpha rather than an academy, as i want my capital to be building units/production sadly. Alot of my newer cities WILL be powerhouse cities though, does that help?

Not that far away from Gavagai.

Also i assume Commodore just got attacked by someone? OR he is 2 whipping a bunch of HA's to come and attack, going to keep my eyes peeled. ( civ stats shows ALOT of whipping )

A bit calm currently on my side of things, probably because DZ is at war with commodore! Hope that shit continues. My scouting WC can actually see the defenders that Chum currently has, and im figuring most of his power must be in a decent little stack somewhere. Going to get plenty of spears ready in my border cities. Using my own HA's to claim the land i fought to get so long ago.. Im building a mix of HA's and WC's. HA's to break spear walls ( damn near triple promo ) and WC's for cost efficient killing. I expect to have currency in about 10-11 turns from now, and in roughly 15-20t i should have a decent mounted army to go and take a city from chum.

Im 2nd in production, yet i have 3 "baby" cities... interesting.

Guess it must be a massive amount of wars going on then?

Good, DZ is still kicking Commodore's ass. I can handle Chumchu, i cant really handle both Commodore and Chumchu. Im upping my chances of winning this game to around 15%.

Chumchu is ramping up in unit production pretty heavily, so ive decided to use WC's instead of HA's just for the numbers. Ill build HA's later for punching thru cities. 3HA's per spear at most i think? Unless Chumchu rushes past my defences into my core with ALOT of chariots/HA's, ill be safe from anything other than some pillaging.

Currency due in roughly 5-6 turns. I have enough gold to fuel 3 turns of 100%, then i have a GS being born which will bulb alpha so that i can use my massive production base to push Currency out. Currency should allow me to really ramp up the unit production without taking too heavy of a loss.

The battlefield. I suspect that he is going to try and hit the Skyshrine with mounted units if it looks weak enough, and if not he will stack up on the hill with a couple axes/spears and look intimidating? If it comes down to it, i think ill be able to get to catapults before chumchu and then its basically game at that point. As you will see in the graphs, my production is vastly superior and will only continue to skyrocket when my two best cities get up and running in the next 5-10t. Plus i can start whipping again once i get currency, as i will be researching mysticism for monuments that i really wish i had gotten sooner.. Mysticism-Construction is the plan. Really glad im CHA, as i dont have many happy resources.

From what i can see, ( i have never EVER done this ) i looked up close at chumchu's cities that i have vision on and none of them seem to have barracks/stables.. Maybe the capital does? So, im likely to be facing a mostly non-promoted stack of HA's + cover units? Vs a heavily barracks/stabled CHA Egypt? Yes please! If i can get 1 more 10t peace, i will be mega confident that chumchu will die at the end of that 10t. However right now he is rising in power enough to kinda scare me. I wont lose any border cities, at least not easily.. but a determined strike into my heartland would suck. I will win this protracted fight with vastly superior production, and the fact that im getting currency very soon.

Other than food, which im lagging in due to happy cap/working production tiles vs food tiles, im doing pretty well in the major categories.

Due to maths, every forest that isnt going into barracks/stables in my military cities is going to be a brand new WC. i have at least 7 forests specifically for this purpose if Chumchu doesnt take another peace. If he does take the peace, i have 10t to try and take the island from Commodore for the extra trade routes.

I expect to add 4 WC's and an archer/spear or so to this before the war bells ring.

2t till Alphabet bulb, or academy. Still trying to decide. Im willing to bet there is a "duh" choice, but im not so sure. Alphabet will allow me to research stuff while saving gold, but Academy is the long-term decision.

If chumchu makes a glaring mistake, i think i could really start to roll thru him and then turn around and eat commodore. Stay tuned!

Chumchu is rising very quickly in the power chart, i assume he wont just take a peek and then offer a peace treaty when he see's my defenses. Im figuring he will load up onto that hill with a couple spears, maybe an axe, and a BUNCH of mounted units. Probably HA's, which if my predictions are true... should be vastly outclassed by my CHA barracks/stables units. If he attacks/leaves an opening i wont take peace. If he just parks some units on the hill i will try for a peace treaty and then get a massive amount of HA's and go take a city or two. From Chumchu? From Commodore? Go ahead and guess! Ill save my screenshots for a later non-spoiler date... mischief

Full detailed report: t101

War prep is happening right now, ive got alot of things happening in the next couple turns so lets see if i can explain my thought process for winning this war, then the game.

Im still somehow 5th in power, thats ok because neither of my neighbors are ahead of me. Commodore is in a heated war with DZ, and Chumchu is rolling a bunch of unpromoted HA's/other junk that i think i can trade favorably with. If you take a look at the MFG tho, im leading by a fair margin. This is to be expected seeing as im in full war mode right now. Im not working about 15-20 commerce worth of cottages right now in favor of getting an extra WC or two out. When i turn on tech im consistently in the top 3 in gnp, and not terribly far behind the leader.. This will only become better in the next couple turns when i get currency.

I will have at least 9 WC's in the war theater on the turn of war, with 1 HA for good measure. My border cities all have at least 1 spear, and a couple archers. Thanks to Gavagai, Chumchu has had copper for a long time now and likely has a decent mobile stack of axes/spears to help take back any cities i might take. Chumchu has been 2 pop whipping i assume HA's the past couple turns and as such his actual production will be shot all to hell when war can be declared. This is a good thing, as he wont be able to make very many emergency whips to combat my 2 production cities kicking into gear in the next 5t.

Im only really scared of a full "dont care" attack using his bulk HA's to storm my right flank and take out my city over there. I have a good 2-3t warning if this looks to be happening, but its not going to go well for me if he decides to go for max damage vs survive-ability. Alot of whipped spears would probably be the case. If i can cut down on any whipping till Chum is dead, i think i can come out of this coming war ahead of the rest of the field.

As you can see, CHA is only getting me so far. I really need another happy source. Monuments via mysticism after currency is my current goal, but i also want to capture the gold from Chumchu as quickly as possible.

Cities will be in this spoiler: ( other than the one on the west coast banghead  )

I have a non-written down plan for each of these cities for the next 5t or so. I will not be whipping any city other than my city on the west coast for the next 10-20t unless an emergency comes up.

Quick rundown for my cities:

Capital will be popping out a HA every 3t to keep the pressure on Chumchu.

Everfrost will be working slowly on a workboat for another couple turns till Currency is in, then will be working the mine to help get a workboat out to find other players for trade routes.

Skyshrine will likely be the first target from Chumchu and rightly so as it WAS his city. Because of this i have reinforced it to the teeth with what it needs to survive a pure 5-10 HA attack. 2 spears and 2archers in a city with cultural defenses can defend that pretty well, and the added axes are just for extra bodies incase my luck goes sideways. A WC will also be popping the same turn that Chumchu can attack for another warm body to absorb some of the attack. The city itself will attempt to finish its stable and then slowly pump out HA's of its own to take out spears easier.

Freeport looks a little weird right now, but in the next turn or two it will finish the grassland forest hill- mine and stagnate at size 5 working sheep-farm-silver- Plains mine- Grass mine. Pumping WC's/HA's is the plan with this city as well.

BlackBurrow has been my brain child the past couple turns as i try and make it into a super city asap. ( i lied, i might whip this once to finish the stables ) It will have an incredible amount of hammers to build 3-4 turn HA's very quickly.

Beast's Domain is keeping the economy afloat by working all the cottages that the capital cant right now. Its sadly going to be whipped sometime in the future to hurry along its library, but not for awhile at least.

My only other city that i forgot to screenshot, will be finishing a WC EoT and then a chop will come in to finish another WC. Then its job is to keep itself alive by building archer/spear ect if need be. I plan on using this city to build a galley and load up a HA+ axe or two axes to take an island city from Commodore. I need those trade routes!

As you can see from these graphs, GNP is close between myself and Chumchu, but he has a bit better land is probably working cottages/gold to keep gnp up. Why do i believe that to be true? Well... look at the MFG graph.

Neither of my neighbor is anywhere close to me. That means my likely production rival is either Gavagai or DZ/Alhazard. Which is great from my standpoint as i can turn my production into gold/research with my teching/bulbing of currency/alphabet.

The food graph is interesting as im not working alot of food neutral or positive tiles right now to keep from needlessly wasting food as most of my cities are at their cap right now. Yet im still ahead of my neighbors. More good news.

Finally the power graph.. Chumchu has been whipping alot so his graph shows this very convincingly. Im still thinking that unless i make a major mistake, this coming attack will be fairly easy to handle. Even if he stacks a large force on my plains hill south of Skyshrine, he wont be able to do much from that point. I can continue to outproduce him and start picking at his other cities with the extra units. Commodore is thankfully busy right now, so i shouldnt have to worry about him. Speaking of Commodore, his power graph shows that he has been losing units at roughly the same rate he is producing so go go DZ! hammer

Made it through all of that? Great! If you know of anything i should improve on, dont hesitate to ask!
