Here are the Demos for the turn, along with the world update showing the territory for each nation.
I suppose my massive Power dip will show up next turn.
My nation pre-demolition by Commodore

Gavagai
Sorry, too tired at this point to give much more comments on the state of affairs. I think I'm basically done with my turn, but need to decide if I feel like throwing all my Catapults at Gavagai and then seeing if any other units can kill any of his stuff.
Or if I feel that he is going to attack me again, I should give all my catapults the D1 promotion before I end turn. He already killed four catapults that were at 3/2 XP. If they had the D1 promotion last turn, they might have dealt just a bit more damage to a Crossbow before dying. Basically, if I don't attack him I suppose I should promote them. He didn't attack me with any of his Numids or WEs (since my LKs would have destroyed them). So my guess is that he plans to promote any of his units that did attack to help heal them further (plus the turn roll would have healed them some), and then he'll attack this turn with everything. I glanced at the combat log and a few of his CBs had flawless victories, and a handful lost about half their health, and a handful lost most of their health. So he'll likely still have some decent CBs for attacking with as well.
Just realized I didn't take screenshot of his stack so logged back in to show it. This is what his stack looks like right now vs my stack. Mine just had 2 Knights, 2 Mace, & 2 Catapults added to it. Everything else still has movement points left.
Part of the reason I want to just attack back at him is because my Catapults should deal at least some collateral to his CBs. Hopefully that would allow my LKs to attack and kill a good portion of his stack. And I do also still have a good number of mostly healthy Macemen.
For the Knights I had on the mainland, I decided to move just about all of them to be on a tile SE of Sleepy. One went across the channel, but all the rest went to Sleepy. If Commodore does take Hungry, I might be able to use these Knights to take it back....or wait for him to advance towards Sleepy onto the grass and then hit him.
Anyway, time for bed. If I hear from Mindy (which sadly probably won't happen) I should be able to play my turn before church in the morning. Otherwise I may need to pause it so that I can make my decision on what to do regarding my catapults afterwards. This is basically a game-changing decision over on that front, and I'd like to get Mindy's input on it first. Since otherwise I'll likely just charge in like a fool and hit him with the catapults.
Plus, if Commodore is truly going to steamroll me soon.....I'd like to just have some fun throwing a big stack at someone. Why let someone else have all the fun of throwing his stack at me?
So I've almost decided, to hell with it....I'm pretty sure I'm just going to hit him with my 12 catapults and then see what kind of odds my Mace & LK have then. At the very least I need to damage him such that he feels he has to retreat. I don't want him to even think about trying to attack into my stack again. And I want to have some fun being the one attacking with a lot of units this game before I die. And that won't happen if I wait any longer. And I'd rather not feel the need to give all the catapults the D1 promotion for defense. I'd rather them have Barrage for dealing extra collateral when used on the offensive.
But in either case, I'll make the decision in a few hours when I get back since I woke up a little late and don't really have time to do so this morning. There's still plenty of time on the clock and I can pause it for Gav if need be.
So whelp....I ended up going a little batshit crazy. I do apologize, Mindy....I know you are going to flip your lid and scream at me. But I just couldn't help myself. With the impending doom I know is coming from Commodore, and just wanting to have some bloody fun before the game ends....
....it was fun, even though it has probably added to helping me lose the game.
Here are the screenshots of the carnage and the new Demos showing my huge loss in power.
I'll edit in the actual count of losses after I post this. Not that I actually want to know. Right now with the units I moved into the city and the levels of damage I did to his units, I'm hoping he'll just retreat at this point. Seeing my knights will hopefully nudge him to regroup. But this has also likely created it such that when/if Donovan or Tas start attacking and taking cities from Gavagai in the north, I won't really have anything capable of trying to go take Wendy's. Since we already know that he will fortify against me while leaving his other cities alone for someone else to take. That's the typical vendetta actions people end up taking against the original aggressor.

Not yet. For the moment I still have a small chance of defending Hungry against Commodore. At least until he actually does get Cannons. But if he does take both Hungry and Sleepy, there isn't really anything else I can do to survive. So the concession is still pending. Plus I'm still having a lot of fun and learning a lot. And for me, that's a reason to keep going.
Well, looks like I'm totally screwed. I see Gavagai was actually able to take the city back, which means that he was actually able to destroy everything I had in the city. I really didn't think I left him with stuff strong enough to do so.
With this defeat, I'm sure I no longer have enough power to recover. Good thing I've had enough wine right now that I don't really care, though tomorrow I probably will. I guess if I didn't attack out at him I might have been able to do something, but even then it wouldn't have lasted long. And from the looks of it, he simply razed Five Guys. Probably because he knew he wouldn't be able to keep it with his wounded stack. So with both our armies wipe out, Donovan and/or Tasunke will be able to conquer him from the north and Commodore will be able to conquer me from the east. I really wasn't thinking clearly today. I need to remember to not let critical battles/actions happen on weekends. My brain seems to be worse off on those days. LOL
In whatever state I was in yesterday I didn't even consider the fact that he might be able to send his wounded Numids around to McDs. So the lone Sword I had left in that city had no chance. He then retreated the rest of his stack into Wendy's.
Over on the other side Commodore doubled his stack while spending time bombarding the wall defenses.
And as you can see in the screenshots above, I continue to keep getting these insane diplo requests from Tasunke where he actually thinks I can or would pay him to attack Gavagai. And then in the next one Donovan signals that he is going to attack Gavagai. A bit too little, too late to help me, but him and Tas will surely just sweep through those lands. Commodore will sweep through my lands, and that'll be game over for me.
I think yesterday I subconsciously came to the decision that there was nothing else I could do to improve my game with Commodore able to barge right in. And all this triggered simply by the fact that Tasunke signed that peace deal. At this stage of the game, anyone who starts fighting with Commodore should never sign peace. He needed to be on his toes on multiple fronts. Since as can be seen here, the moment he had a secure border, he was able to send everything at me. Yes, I probably could have made the decision long ago to abandon Borscheland. But I felt committed over there....or maybe I simply should have been committed to a padded room.
Anyways, going to go finish playing the rest of this turn....even though I really have no idea what I'm going to do. I did drop off that settler that was going to resettle Taco Bell. But I suppose I'll just have it resettle McDs instead. Not that any of this is going to help me. Don't know which 3 cities will draft Muskets yet. I suppose I'll have to draft in Hungry & Sleepy again just to get 2 more muskets into Hungry for them to die soon. Maybe I'll draft the 3rd one over out of Popeyes just for the hell of it.
Something tells me I'll officially declaring here my concession to Commodore, but I'll sit on that decision a little bit longer. At least until I see what the next turn actually holds. In the end, this will work out for me. With PB27 about to start, and my wanting to try out Civ5 and maybe get back to playing my game of Skyrim that's been on hold for awhile, this will open up more time for me. Not good to keep putting so much time into a game that clearly can't be won. My original aim was to try to solidly lock in 2nd place with a good showing, but that risk obviously did not pay off. Since I'm going to fall, while Donovan & Tas rise through Gavagai's undefended core. Oh well.
So under consideration right now of what I'm trying to decide what to do is this:
I could move the Mace/Cat stack (with the 1 Knight) up next to Bouncy. Nothing he has should be able to hurt it. Such that I could take Bouncy next turn if he doesn't move stuff from Wendy's to reinforce it.
At the same time I could move the 2xKnight, 3xMace, 2xCatapult to the hill SE of Wendy's to start bombarding it. The rest of his stuff should still be hurt enough this turn that he can't kill them. Could probably even move a slightly wounded LB or two with it. Next turn most of the units in FiveGuys reach full health and can join the stack, while the rest protect FG and continue healing.
As far as I can tell we had Gavagai right where we wanted him after the defense of Five Guys. He'd lost virtually all of his catapults while we had lost only slightly worse than equivalent units. I was quite pleased to see that we had all of our LK intact and a good number of LBs too (as well as 25 maces). At that point, you could have pulled back into McD and waited for a couple of muskets to arrive before proceeding onwards.
As for Master Commodore,...I don't know why you panicked about a 21 unit stack. An attack at this point is in our favour. He's coming right at our hilled city,...we can draft more units than he can hit with. He's hitting us before he gets cannons. I understand that he's now at 35 units with 13 catapults,...but that's 13 cats that aren't cannons. So let him waste them on our 20-30F drafted muskets. Like you, I also got a little pessissmistic when I saw that MC was 5T away from cannons. But that was primarily because I didn't think that we'd be able to contain him from gutting Retep. Whatever he wastes on our front right now is good. This is exactly the kind of containment that we wanted. MC's also given up 2 cities recently,...so again,...containment achieved. We were actually doing quite well with our strategy.
You've been talking about conceeding this game for so long. Yes, MC has many strong advantages over us. We also have quite a number over him.
MC's got tech and cannons soon enough.
-We've got more cites (ouch McD, but otherwise 25 vs 20).
-We have a greater ability to concentrate military.
-We have complete unit visibility and can't really be surprised (hah McDonalds).
-We have a willing ally in Tasunke who's fortunes are tied to our own due to the island and can boat fork so many of MC's cities. 10T isn't that long to hold on.
-We had the largest military in the world.
-I'm pretty sure that we had enough units in GavagaiLand that we could start making progress without a lot of further investment. Especially with those catapults wiped out.
-That GM,....that's a big chunk of Constitution right there. We steal Banking from Tasunke or MC,...and we've got +3 science per specialist * 2 per city * 26 cities. That's a 156 beaker boost,...probably as much as Gav's entire GNP.
This was before that attack on Gav,...if I'm reading this right we lost 10 cats + 18 maces(!) 2 HA, 3WE 1S, 5LK = 39 units. Compared to Gav's 10 CB,2WE and 1 cat,...
So 3X the units? I can only imagine that you didn't SIM this out before proceeding. Losing those cats means that we can't proceed against Gavagai protective units. So that initiative is over now.
Having said all that, you will more than likely survive against MC. You will also not be pushed back by Gavagai. I had really hoped that we'd have a strong advantage over MC,...but looks like we're going to have status quo for awhile. Unless you go through with that concession that you've been wanting for quite some time now.
Regardless, I'm going to take a bit of a breather away from this thread for a couple of days. If you don't go ahead an concede like you've been wanting to well try to have fun learning while defending from MC's attack. Draft Happy into the ground if you think that you're going to lose it.
