Superdeath wants to be the very best Piñata.

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Yeah, that's unfortunately the cost of BW first. 4 food-hammer forested deer is a nice consolation though.

Nice claim location scouted by the workboat.

Figure scout moves NW, and then reevaluates.

Worker movement suggestions:
  • Existing worker chops next the forest S of capital
  • 2nd worker starts by chopping the forest E-E of capital
The idea here is to organize the shuffle in a way we will not be wasting movement turns when it's time to start improving the wet rice and the deer.

Btw, if you go back in a thread you can notice from the sheet the way you could shuffle between warrior and settler builds after the 2nd worker is done. I think that's still the plan.

I would say that the 2nd city at rice-copper is a given unless you get unlucky with jungle spreads. SW or SE of the copper as exact location.. I'll leave that to you, because the immediate quality of the options is pretty much the same so it's more of a small macro decision. You can wait for a few turns of scouting info and then make the decision.

As for the 3rd city at silver: That is very much more of a macro decision (than micro) and you will have time to see how stuff looks in the west before making the decision. Real preparation for the 3rd city city starts at around T30

EDIT: And yeah, coastal locations that you have noted in the east and north make a lof of sense to me

1t of warrior, let chop go into the settler, swap back to warrior... and if im reading this right, let the 2nd workers chop finish the warrior and overflow into the settler?

Where is the 1st worker to go after the forest 1s of capital. Thinking scout moves 1W, then 1N? Or perhaps 1W, 1NW.. Hmm

Exactly! On turn 26 the chop should go into the warrior so that there will be 30/15 hammers in the build and no overflow will be wasted. (Assuming no mistakes) the city grows to size 3 at the end of that turn as well.

Worker S of capital: It chops next the forest SW-S of the capital and moves then to pasture the deer
Worker E-E of capital: Next the guy will chop SE of the capital and then it moves to farm the rice

Other stuff:
  • The base case for tech after Hunting should be Wheel-Pottery for cottages and EXP granaries! If you would see the need for Archery or AH (not for resources based on current scouting, but for an early chariot rush) those are of course options
  • I would probably send the warrior to sit on the rice tile to prevent an unlucky jungle spread, which would truly screw up the start here..
  • Quite a lot of reasons to get IW and Calendar pretty early here. Generally not great for early snowball, but if you can keep up with expansion until around turn 90, those bananas and sugars will help to maintain a growth curve and you will end up with strong cities
