[PB61 Spoilers] JesseL's First PB Game

You don't have to go through the whole login process to check that. Just look if an * is on front of Joshybravo on PBSpy. Way easier that way. You really should not log in, when it's not your turn. Imagine this scenario:

1. You play first and do your turn
2. Your enemy plays and pillages your only copper resource
3. Some other player notices this and gifts you his copper.

Now if you login outside your turn you have to decide to accept this gift. Taking the gift would be unfair towards your enemy, because you keep access to copper for that turn. Refusing the gift would hurt you in the long run. And even if you do nothing with the offer and just close the game, the game will automatically reject the gift.

The war progresses. I do not think I have enough to capture corn city yet so it is pillaging time. Dye city will fall to my chariots.

Marble city is undefended. Maybe a spearman can be whipped.

The war is a stalemate, which is good for me. I have captured 1 city and razed 1 city. My cities all started building libraries while Rome whips an army so I should be better off in the long run. My research plan is currency - metal casting - horseback riding - construction.

Rome drafted a spear and my 2 chariots opted to move and pillage the cows before they were killed by another drafted spear in cow city. My galley is pillaging the coast and I have 2 more galleys that I will fill with axemen to hopefully take both of those coastal cities. Basically I am just going to harrass and pillage until I get far enough ahead. I have not been whipping at all and Rome has so their economy is going to be bad for a while.

Just curious do you mean you haven't whipped during this war or for the whole game so far?

The whole game. I do have slavery in case I need it for defense. Right now my cities are all at full size mostly working cottages and mines.

Oh my god really. You definitely should start using the whip during peace times too. As of now you just lost more money due to higher maintenance and did not get any benefit from the switch.

I was just forced to whip some walls in Gem City as most of my army got annihilated by a sneaky worker finishing a road. More details to come.
