Turn 064
So barry did indeed attack. The spear moved onto the hill and an archer is coming up behind.
From the power graph there really can't be much more. I whipped the axe in Scales, swapped Tandem to a spear, and after a little deliberation decided to whip the settler in the capital as well. So we won't get iron, but I'm just going to whip units until one of us is dead. I'll be able to hook up whales next turn and gold in 4 turns, so I think i'll be able to whip more than he.
Out west, Cyneheard thankfully did not get too aggressive with his 4th city:
I also had to pull back a chariot to defend the copper - a barb warrior picked a really bad turn to pop up, but that's what barbs do I guess. And I've moved workers to start chopping forests. Since we're going to be in a early war we need to win this thing quickly before Cyneheard gets ideas. (Thanks again for making me the middle bitch, Commodore! )
Edit: Went back and whipped Willow Creek too. Let's not take chances.

Well, I guess my screenshot didn't take. Barry retreated his units and offered peace. I declined but after playing the turn offered him a cease fire. Reason being that Cyneheard is pushing units towards me now (of course; what else did you think would happen?). But while I don't want to give Barry 10 turns, I also don't want to have Cyneheard think I am not in control of things.
The barb was taken out without a problem; my spear and settler are moving towards the gold site. My scout in the south spotted a spear, which if Cyneheard decides to attack is probably dead.
On the bright side of things, at least I have the second half of the turn timer.
2pop Whipped a spear in Tandem. And hooked up the whales!

Turn 66
Sorry, didn't have time for pics today. My half of the turn didn't come up until I was asleep so I had to fit in the turn while getting ready for work. Hopefully that doesn't become the norm; I really am bad about getting up early
Cyneheard attacked and killed my scout. Poor guy, he'd been through hell and back to avoid the big bully out west but in the end it was sniped from a spear in the southwest. There will be a reckoning but not quite yet. Right now I have to figure out how to survive being in the middle of a shit sandwich. (Mapmakers, next time you want the people on an island, make them equidistant from each other.)
Cyneheard offered peace but I did not accept. I an going to whip up units for a few turns and then offer peace again. That will give me a ten turn window to take out Barry. So I have to trust a but in luck: maybe Barry will see the war with Cyneheard as the reason for my power increase and not take as many precautions. But it's not like I've been given a choice here. I barely give myself a chance.
Don't worry, pb19 took all my rage-quitting energy. So no matter how screwed I was from the start I'll soldier on here. At least Commodore put my copper somewhere I could hook it up in time...

Yay for not quitting, I believe you can come our ahead of this crowd. in particular, I'm looking forward to Barry's elimination.

Thanks! If we can get the jump on Barry then we have a good chance. Kind of feel bad for having to attack a new player so early but he made it a lot easier to attack him than Cyneheard when he settled so close. Cyneheard is also keeping watch on the area between our cities so he get several turns warning whe if I do the bay attack right he will only get 1.
