Civ picking method sounds good.

Edited pangaea is obviously better than just mirrored but I don't want to make Dave work harder with the map than he offered earlier (unless he changes his mind).

I'll try to set aside a couple hours this weekend and roll some pangaea maps. I'm hoping to get one from the map generator that's at least close to balanced and keep the edits to a minimum. Or I may try to get smart on GermanJoey's map tool and see if I can do a mirrored pangaea.

I ended up just writing my own program to do the mirroring, which means I can generate a different map pretty easily. This one is based on a standard pangaea, and is really big.





Note: there's no significance to the Calabim being the player civ, other than red being an easy color to see in WorldBuilder.

Edit: the first screenshot was supposed to show the score mouseover. The map has 1332 tiles.

Woah, 1332 tiles! (Last was 800 tiles just to compare) That'd make the game last ehm.. quite long I guess.
