I've moved some troops so don't play the turn from scratch. I will send the version of the save I am up to when I've finished messing around with the easy stuff.
I've accepted Darrell's offer of map exchange (he couldn't see the new fort we had built) and sent him 300 gold to help fund the research of Stealth. Well I think I did - does we not lose the gold until the end of the turn, or until Darrell accepts it? I sent another 100 gold to test it out.
He will get Composites next turn, which means Modern Armo(u)rs.
I've put full EPs on Shoot. Darrell can see Dave's research (which is for Flight in 2 turns) but he can't see Shoot's. His suggestion is for him to cancel the NAP with Shoot in 5 turns and us in 8 turns.
I drafted Bull Market. Flooded Market is the other mainland option (I don't want to draft Capital, Investment, Gold Rush, Trading Post or Pyramid Scheme). Overexposure would be my other choice right now.
We could do Horsetrading, Cornered Market and Farmer's Market next turn.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

You don't lose gold until the other party accepts, yes.

Right, I've played T175 but not yet sent it. It's ready to go, though. (I've sent it to our inbox.)
Headline news:
The golden ages of Darrell and Dave ended, with the former adopting Vassalage and Police State, and the latter Slavery.
We lost two marines capturing Edessa, taking out a tank, 2 infantry and an airship in the process. We should only have lost one really, given we were getting two-thirds odds, but still not a bad result. We decided to keep it since it's a one-tile island that's easy enough to defend for now.
I shipped some marine-laden transports in there, plus 5 destroyers which could be used to take down the defence of Hattin, or take out the random East Indiaman which is floating around on its own. (I doubt it will stay there, ditto the lone Missile Cruiser, which was presumably donated by Shoot very recently. Shoot has an undefended size 22 city incidentally within easy range, by the way.)
Piccies to follow.

This is the NW arena, where our lonely island city Overexposure looks over at Dave's outlands.
A four bomber raid of Edessa reduced the defences to 0% and showed its contents.
Our marines had odds but I still lost the first two. However, after winning the third battle it was a mop-up. We got about 320 gold, which is nice. And plenty of infrastructure.
Latest civic choices.
Power graph.
Demographics before ending turn.
The arena.

F5 screens.

Question for the lurkers:
Do land units loaded on boats which are in cities defend against attacks?

Nope.
They're also not visible to other players.

Cheers SS. It's a good job that novice mentioned it then - I thought they did. But I guess it makes sense since they can't be seen in the boat normally. I unloaded 5-6 units in each of the two captured cities as a precaution. (Actually not quite true - Aleppo already had units unloaded.)

Looking good. I don't know if you're waiting for me or if you forgot, but feel free to pass the save on.
If Dave's troops are deployed similarly next turn, we could punch through his stack blocking Sidon.
I have to run.
