Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

[PB69] Lurking the dreams of summer

I was surprised Commodore didn't pillage the pig. Gav attacking out with 3 praets seemed fairly certain. Even if your axe kills the first the Chariot is lost at that point.

I also do wonder how annoying Ginger would be able to be right now if it wasn't for bad barb luck. He is doing a good job of it as is.

When Joao doesn't have a plan to win, he gets an awful lot of spare hammers to hammer with.

Is it at all possible for Comm to just die here?

Even if he gets extraordinarily unlucky he will only lose Kolsch. 1 movers over that distance just won't cut it; especially with Gav only on 3 cities.

BTW city count for T80 is PATHETIC for a monarch game, even with a random map.

Ginger is at 7 and then Pin, Bing, and Commodore are all at 6. My turn 75 benchmark is 6-7 to be relevant, but you would prefer to be at 8.

It's not that bad for a random game (other than Gav and maybe Nauf). By this point in 64 I think I had like 6 cities.

While the below each control 1 ring, I can't imagine this is going to lead to long term peace.

Commodore is kind of pulled a lot of different directions here. I like the city pillage, but I don't think I would try to take that gold city / the food city until Pin comes back in / with cats. Gav is practically a dead man walking, focus elsewhere for a bit. Commodore also may lose the entire southern peninsula to Nauf if he isn't careful.

This looks like the game where SD's love for TGL will bite him. He's still only on four cities (a fifth is ready to settle next turn) and he's being squeezed out of "his" territory. Worse still, his cities are all low pop and all chopped out:

He actually had quite a few forests, but I guess they went into... I hope granaries.

I also really don't like Kish this early; it needs a border pop and lighthouse to work worthwhile tiles. OTOH, his west was always going to be hard to settle well without free culture.

Ya that is a pretty sad looking empire. I probably would have turned those hammers into vultures to go kill the barb city and then settle on the SW hill he had planned. That would have been a great border city.

Mind you, he might still be fine. BUT only because he borders Gav. If he didn't border someone who has been at war a lot of the game and lost cities, he would be SOL.

BTW I only like the island city settle because it looks like he is also horrible short on workers (did he lose the one on the hill to Magic?).

It's also a backfill location par excellence.
