Honestly, it's already a bit of a stretch that Luddite noticed how weird the deal is but then chose to accept it anyway. He doesn't have much room to disagree with fixing it.

I don't think it's a stretch - maybe Scooter wanted to prop him up - but it should definitely be returned.

I think Scooter should be planning to invade, rather than believe he can out-expand / out-tech the Communist Oxy. I even think he should plan to do it if Yuris doesn't give peace, though that's a hard decision to make. 2 WE on a four move galley can expect to snipe a city, and even though he has tech parity, they can always outrun Triremes.

Waiting for berzerkers may or may not be too late, but you can expect defenses to get beefier over time. Even blockading could be quite painful.

He's been suffering from a case of builderitis I think.  At one point he had Yuri down to 2 cities with 6 pop between them and no horses.  If he'd dialed back the economy/expansion for a few turns and whipped out some axes and chariots to aggressively choke Yuris and prevent him from getting horses he could have eliminated Yuris with relative ease once he got a few wellies/cats on the board.  With his continental duel won, he could then take advantage of 4 move galleys to prune back Oxy's low military expansion without having to worry about home defence on the land.  Now it's going to be expensive to take out Yuri and Scooter can't afford to strip his homeland forces down to invade Oxy until he either has peace with Yuri or has eliminated him.   

And on the other island it looks like luddite is going to survive long enough to be a powerhouse in any land engagements for a long time to come.

Just get Zerks, pin back Yuri, let Oxy try and settle over seas and then start forking his shit.

Oxy is pretty clearly offering OB as a way to protect Yuris with his triremes as part of a proxy war against Scooter.

That was my thinking as well Q. One of the most satisfying parts of PB66 was watching Mjmds and P&Ps scouts fight in our territory.

And nope, he actually wants to attack Yuris.

I also would have gone the route of protect his coast so he can focus on hurting main rival Scooter. Bonus parking some triremes on his eastern coast not only protects Yuris but also in the right spots blocks Scooter from attacking him until Galleons.

Yes that is quite a funny 1-2 punch of posts.

Also, a pig city on that peninsula is very exposed to burning out of the fog unless he has triremes in place.
