Do I need to add Aztec DLC to setting? I keep forgetting that's a DLC because it shipped with the initial game

No need for it. It only adds montezuma and Aztecs.

FYI, when setting the game up in PYDT, the game settings need to be what the map was generated with, so if Cornflakes generated the save with the Aztecs, you should probably have the Aztecs DLC included. If not, you might get an error uploading the file.

Also, make sure to have the map type as 6-arm snowflake, as I believe that is the script Cornflakes replaces when generated custom maps. Ran into that issue when starting PBEM4.

Standard speed
6-arm snowflake
Huts off
Everything else default
Aztecs DLC enabled, all other DLC disabled.

Well, I'm about at my wits end with PYDT. I set all those settings on the game and it still tells me that there's a DLC mismatch error. So I'm going to have to delete and restart and ... I have no idea what I need to do different.

Is it because I didn't wait for CFCJester to join?

As long as you have the option for people to join after it starts, the only person that needs to be signed up is the next player.

I have that option set. I have no other idea why it wouldn't work as everything is set correctly.
