Here is the code of conduct because I'm bloody right. https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/show...p?tid=7311
[*]The person declaring war can choose which half of the turn timer they get, so long as they didn't move after the victim on the previous turn.
[*]Don't try to play after another player on a regular basis. If you are trying to prevent them getting the second half when they attack you then you're playing clock games and Krill will find your pathetic civ and crush it. If you are planning to attack them then just drop behind them one or two turns in advance (it's actually less likely to telegraph your intentions). In fact you can play before them the turn before you attack - there is no problem with letting your victim double move you.
I literally was trying to drop behind the turn before I attacked. [*]
I dunno, this felt pretty convincing to me. At worst it kinda feels like they're both in the right. Mjmd certainly doesn't come across as malicious here (though it sounds like the dilemma was resolved anyway now).

Grillo was also planning to declare this turn. There is no attacker until war is declared. That's why you stick to the previous order if there is contention.
Mjmd wasn't even planning to declare this turn, he was only planning to set up the next turn's war declaration. This is why you can't call dibs on war declarations turns in advance via PM. Grillo literally couldn't play his turn because he wanted to declare war, and he can't declare war if he double moves Mjmd. Mjmd wasn't planning to declare war but he wanted to drop behind Grillo in turn order, which prevented Grillo from declaring and caused the standoff. Grillo literally cannot play his turn as intended if he plays first; Mjmd most certainly can. How can you defend Mjmd's position?

Some may have noticed, but not everybody. Vanrober said GG to scooter because he eliminated scooter from the game. It seems we ran into an interesting side effect from the "No score" option. scooter is still showing alive on PBSpy, but from my tracking tool I can confirm that he was eliminated. It seems that PBSpy only checks for the score and if a player drops to score 0, PBSpy counts it as eliminated. Maybe Ramk can confirm this. But for now:
GG scooter.

That seems like a fixable problem to me - maybe change No Score such that the Palace gives 1 score and nothing else gives score. Then when the player is out of cities he will be at zero score. I guess that will tell players whether they moved or settled in place on turn 0, which may or may not be a problem.

I think this game is a great example of calling a game too early. The early leader El Grillo is really struggling and vanrober has worked himself to a good position thanks to the early conflict between nauf and scooter and Ruff_Hi isn't in the best position to challenge him. Interesting too see how Miguelito will be doing on his continent, which by the way is the only continent without any major conflict so far or at least a conflict of which we have information.

When I posted earlier I actually meant that I was sure Miguelito was going to win.
I still am. However, Commodore was right that that was premature. I underestimated El Grillo's position for one.
