I had to re-read your name to make sure you weren't spacetyrantxenu since he uses those terms too lol

I admit that I picked the habit of calling eldest son LT from Xenu but MT is just coincidence. Although I like the explanation from Charriu more smile

I love that the way you talk about your children subtly implies that you are the Great Tyrant (flawless, inscrutable); you have managed to weaponise your kids in the ongoing war to weaken the wills of current and potential opponents Golfclap .

What does that make me, then? The Mother of Tyrants?  lol

That would be interesting! I might consider taking care of the tyrants and the house alone for some six months to see that.  popcorn

Cornflakes is about 70% to win this game at this point (if he can Lib Rifling like Commodore half-jokingly suspects, that becomes like 95%), I think. 15% Commodore, 10% Scooter, 5% TBS. Cairo has no chance and AT won't survive this 10t peace treaty.

Scooter's got a neighbor problem with Commodore (who might have a cultural victory plan available? Going to be tough with all the wonders going to Cornflakes).

No peace it looks like. Even if Cornflakes libs Rifles, Scooter might just have a large enough production base it doesn't matter if he can make Commodore play nice.

The ONLY saving grace for Scooter in that scenario is the Rifle Drafting nerf. Having rifles cost 2 pop instead of 1 is a massive, massive difference. That was one of the original changes in the OG RtR mod, as Nationalism + Rifling was a little too much of the One Right Answer (it's still very effectively militarily, but now the economic cost means it's comparable to a whip). I'm not sure that the change in min drafting size is still necessary (note for Charriu - and this is a legacy RtR change that no one's really thought about in 8-10 years), especially since drafting has such a high cost to the happy cap so it can be a little more efficient than a whip.

A 2-pop draft is ~40 food or so for 110 hammers, but with unnerfed slavery a 2-pop whip is 60 base hammers so at least 75 hammers, and there's more options/bonuses with the whip + fewer other costs (XP and happiness).

Side note: In many ways, CtH is trying to be what RtR was back in the 2011-2012 era, although it's learned a lot of lessons over the years.

I already wrote a note in my note book to remove the "min drafting size" change, but keep the "2 pop instead of 1" change. I'm interested in what you mean with the bold sentence above?

There's a lot of things you've done that the OG me/Krill version of this couldn't have even contemplated (like the ideas for game setup/game options come to mind, or some of the fancier trait setups like Protective). CtH is where I wanted the then-RBMod to be.

Also, the past 8-10 years have had a lot of games that let everyone figure out what works/what doesn't actually work in MP play. RtR was started when games like PBEM10 and PB6 were running.

Thanks a lot for that. But I have to say that a lot of it was only possible or did happen, because I could go back to all your knowledge for RtR in your original mega-thread: http://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/showt...p?tid=3623

It was a great read.

How long will it take for Cornflakes to figure out that TBS never adopted Slavery until now? lol
