The Seven Samurai- A Most Honorable Competitive SG

Sorry guys, I've had a crazy few days over the weekend and haven't had time to write something entertaining for the save. In order to get the game going I'm just going to upload the file and give you a brief summary.

The Samurai are gathering in the east to destroy the two civilizations there, However one of them has hooked copper as a stack of 2 axes and 3 archers are heading towards two of our Samurai. I have fortified them on a jungled hill.
Our capital is getting warriorchoked by barbs, and I had to whip an axe and upgrade our GG warrior as our copper will likely get pillaged next turn. We will probably face multiple pillaging, but thankfully we got 3 or 4 workers incoming from the north, although they are still a fair distance away. C'est la vie.

The save.

Ah, how we miss Matahachibod. Such a good friend. Such a good medic.

We proceed.

Upon awaking from the void, Ito feels the slightest twinge of empathy for the poor peasants left behind at home. It would appear that they have done something to annoy the spirits of the woods:

And, of course, the various so-called "civilized" people of this land continue their unwarranted quest to destroy our fine villagers:

But Ito Ittomise is a warrior, not a civil servant. Both of these threats are summarily ignored. All available samurai are sent to the homes of the hated ones.

Unfortunately, the warriors are scattered throughout the land and little is accomplished. Ito himself seems ready to strike, and with excellent odds. But he is severely wounded:

The severity of his wounds surprises Ito. He is defenseless. He stills his mind, preparing to follow the path set down by Matahachibod....

...and when the sun rises in the east, Ito is suprised to find himself still in existence. Surveying his wounds, he gives himself a Medic promotion--aiming for March--and prepares to strike again.

While the peaceful villagers had the right idea, and aimed to construct a great barrier to the barbarian hordes:

The irritating Dutch finish the edifice first. Truly they shall die.

The only other battle of note is that of Sareln-san and Jkaenmaki-san. Both return an Ethiopian settlement to the jungle:

Many workers are making a path back to the homeland. Barbarian spears have been seen and destroyed.

With this, Ito slips back into the void....

The most honorable save.

What the...? You are right! They worked yesterday though, so what changed? I am new to using dropbox for images. Let me see if I can figure this out....

Okay, I guess I need help. I'm sure I was able to see these images here on the forum post yesterday, but now they don't show. They are in a folder in my dropbox/Photos directory.

Will images not work with a free (2GB limit) dropbox account? Or is there some kind of permission or sharing setting I need to set?

If anyone has advice, please post or PM me.

I think you just need to wrap each link in [img] linkie [/img) tags. With a square bracket and not a curly one.

If you copy the link into the browser window it works fine. I think iirc that dropbox's photo-album setup doesn't work well with forum IMG tags. On my own dropbox, I put the photos into:

my dropbox/public/"Subfolder"/

and then get direct links from there.

Did I really fail to use [] brackets? :smackshead:

Alright...lemme move the images to Public....

Ahh. Must choose "View Original" to get a link that doesn't have lots of Dropbox.com html wrapping. Editing now....
