I hate how Civ4 rewards lucky wins by piling XP (and GG points) on the victorious unit.
I have to run.

Yeah, that doesn't help cheering up the player that was on the receiving end of the lucky win. More frustrating is losing that gem spot. I should have go for the settler faster, but I was blinded by my Oracle micro. I'm not sure if my warrior would help delay Kyan's settler (I'm gussing yes, since I think he put 2 chops into it from his 2nd city - the one with the silver - that he wouldn't be able to otherwise), but I should have been faster. Well, it happens. Guess I'll just have to whip/chop more units!
Too bad about the Moai spot.
By the way, I would have settled the copper city 1SW.
Civilization IV: 21 (Bismarck of Mali), 29 (Mao Zedong of Babylon), 38 (Isabella of China), 45 (Victoria of Sumeria), PB12 (Darius of Sumeria), 56 (Hammurabi of Sumeria), PB16 (Bismarck of Mali), 78 (Augustus of Byzantium), PB56 (Willem of China)
Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone. Because just a little bad luck is not nearly enough. Though I guess losing for 40% odds is better than losing for 3,3% odds...
Rolled the name for the 4th city.
38. Vault of the Vampire 54. Legend of Zagor In honor of Lewwyn's SK game, 4th city will be "LegendOfVampire". And, yes, that was a random roll.
Well, I settled LegendOfVampire. It's more of a short term spot, but that's what I'm looking for. It maes the placement of the gold city a bit more difficult, but I pondered about it and decided to do it this way.
I will build a WB next turn, after fishing is done. I messed up not going for it before (last turn), but than I realized that I wouldn't be able to 1 turn the tech on the turn before, so not that much harm done. But it'll delay a WB for a turn, compared to a scenario where I already had fishing. Demos are mistakingly forgiving, likely due to heavy whipping by other players + my turn advantage. I finished writing too. I desperately need cottages, because my tech rate is slowly starting to die. But I also need chops and whips and production and food... I didn't take an overview screenshot, but I'm building a Immortal in WS and RP, while Hellrunner is building a granary (hopefully I'll help it with chops, need to work a bit on my micro on the sim). I'm debating about a more military strategy (which would be fun) and an economic one (which would likely give me more chances of winning - 0,1% rather than 0,00001% -, but it's not fun). I don't think it's fair for me to take Kyan or another player out of his game just because I want to play in a way that I'm not going to win... What would Kant do?
What can't Kant do?
Can Kant do the can can? If ought implies can, then surely Kant can do the can can! FABULOUS! |
