Darrell: of Turkey
yes
so not CRE
Facts are fungible. Actually not sure what Novice is doing . He had to get his Worker first, and it is a Fast one. I think he had plenty of time to tech Agriculture as well.

Well, I can see an obvious 4th city site now for gems/clams, and the northern corn city I'd probably move 1W, and slave an obelisk from the fish city (city 3) for the stone. City 4 is also a decent Henge city...

Hmm...Krill's right that forest doesn't cost us anything really, we were spending a turn on that tile anyway. So, good news all around last turn . I'll try and get closer to "real time" on C&D this morning.

Possible alternative method to getting Henge:
Original plan up to third city settling. Research Myst>Masonry>Sailing
Third city slaves Obelisk at size 2. Workers prep road to stone. Stone should be inside borders on t40-t41, hooked by t41-t42 (up to 3 workers IIUC)
Capital gets settler4 out by t40 to settle 3SE of capital. Settled t42 (turn stone is hooked).
Chop the 2 forests adjacent to city site and the forest 2S1E of capital into city 4 which builds Henge turn it is settled. Requires 3 workers prechopping.
This could feasibly be done with as little as 5 workers. It wouldn't delay HG (but it would delay maths) as we need those techs anyway before doing HG. No alteration to growth plan and city 3 should have the whip unhappiness gone by the time it regrows to size 4. Borders would pop at city 4 immediately after finishing Henge for easy and fast gems and clams connection.

I do like that idea. I was going to play around with some dotmaps and henge openings but this weekend looks booked. We have plenty of time though, I think the game has settled down to 1 turn/day already. Had a nice chat with regoarrarr today. Nothing about the real game, but I did ask him to send me some C&D info based on score:
C&D Score Counting
There are 813 land tiles and the map thinks the theoretical maximum population is 1139. This means:
5000 / 1139 = 4.39 score points per pop point
2000 / 813 = 2.46 score points per land tile held for 20t
Techs are always 5.99 * Era (Ancient = 1, Classical = 2, etc. etc.)
Wonders are always 1000 / 62 = 16.13 score points per wonder
There are 62 total world/national wonders, shrines, corporation headquarters. Of course we had some good-natured trash talking:
Quote:Darrell: How does it feel to be absolutely crushed in post and view count?
Dan: pretty demoralizing
Darrell: If it makes you feel any better, I have two active dedicated lurkers
Dan: krill and who
Darrell: Gold Ergo Sum
Piss him off and watch your PB4 dreams die
Dan: does "crushing you in score" equal "pissing him off"?
Darrell: I suggest you use the broadest possible interpretation for "pissing him off"

I've been subtly holding that cudgel over plako and Luddite's heads in PBEM11 for a while. Attack me and I will rule against you out of spite.

Okay, so another boring turn no doubt. First, the Warrior moves and finds:
Kinda as expected, but that means 3SE is not a canal city...not that we can't deal with that problem.
Tasty...
Whomever settled t0 is size 1. Darrell, you need to check if they were size 1 last turn as well, otherwise, they just slaved out another worker...meaning BW is teched for them, which soldier points would support...
