I think you’re getting push-back largely because of this:

There’s been a ton of time for you to roll some Tectonics maps and indicate to everyone that you’re not willing to play the script. I wouldn’t play one either FWIW, but you explicitly said it was fine, and I get the impression everyone else would be genuinely fine with nearly 0 balancing whatsoever.
If other players are unhappy to the point of wanting to not play, speak up now. It does not currently seem like anyone is close to that and I’m operating based on that, but others wanting to bail changes things.
If my assumptions on other players preferences are correct, then In the interest in helping things move along, I see 3 routes here. Krill has to make a choice which will narrow it down.
1. Krill chooses to play on. He probably needs to assure people he won’t quit later.
2. Krill stays and a new map is made. I have no ETA for this. There’s no volunteers currently, and I imagine folks would be quite hesitant to commit time to something that could get thrown out again, so extremely specific instructions would be required. I would imagine this could take a little while unless the instructions/script/etc are all very explicit and easy to do and don’t require lots of lurker review.
3. Krill steps out and we more quickly reroll the same script, do very light edits, and launch. This would likely be quite a bit quicker than Option 2 because the remaining players appear to be less concerned about what the map gives them, so much less review time will be necessary.
So we need a play on or not from Krill. If he says no to playing on, I would then recommend the other non-Krill players decide whether they want to go along with 2 or 3. I think that’s the fairest outcome.
