Also - Fin/Philo/Spi - that's insanely awesome! Three of the most powerful FFH traits right there .

Yes, very powerful. Hopefully we stay in them a while.
Did not know that about Worker/Settlers. Huh.

FIN and SPI? Hahaha. SPI is awesome. PHI is not as good as EXP would be, but it's definitely good with your Inspiration.

Yez. Though I do somewhat wish that my SPI had come when I had more options...but odds are it will save at least two turns and I could run Pacifism to pump a second Scientist too I guess?

Fin/Phi/Spi is rather nice.
Assuming you go pacifism, when's the first great person expected?

I'd have to check. I just got a Scientist and, working a Scientist specialist + Inspiration outside of Pacifism, I can probably get a second Scientist in...14-15~ turns in Pacifism?
It'd probably be saved for a GA(Pop Revelry and then a Great Person's GA and you get essentially 3 straight GAs).

When do you think it would make most sense to pop revelry? If it is a bit from now it might make more sense to pop a GA with our second GP, and use the Great Scientist for an academy. That would get us around 20 beakers at this point, which is really quite noticeable. Speaking of GAs, I know that they make it possible to switch civics like you were spiritual, but do they also allow easy religion switches? In FFH I usually tend to stick to one main religion unless I'm spiritual, so I haven't tried experimenting.

They do allow easy religion switches, IIRC.
As I said, we actually have our Scientist now, which has already gone for an Academy. So the theoritical GA Great Sci would be our second GP.
Good times to pop Revelry:
When we are militarily building up
When we make a run towards our power unit(Like Gibbon Goetia)
When Aristofarms are set up or our other commerce centers
If we begin to fall too far behind in teching or other areas, emergency popping for Revelry + Other GA works well to keep us afloat.
IMO, anyway.

Any chance of dialing back the language to a more family-friendly level? I can read cursing just about anywhere on the internet, but I come to this site hoping for a more sophisticated vocabulary.

Well...
Thus far, everyone in my head is going to be based on a corrosponding Homestuck character, to go with me being Gamzee:
Selrahc = Karkat, who SPEAKS IN ALL CAPS AND IS CONSTANTLY ANGRY AND SWEARS A LOT CREATIVELY, because somehow Selrahc being the angry one both amused me and seemed correct, plus right now
...Which seems fitting for the first person I met.
Bob = Kanaya, who Capitalizes The First Letter Of Every Word And Speaks In A Fashionable Manner. This is both for some reason I can't stop imagining Bob in some british accent, which is true with Kanaya too for some reason, and because the idea of Bob speaking prim and proper amused me, with bonus points for being the first person to hurt Gamzee.
...So I'd like to keep it for in-characterness. However, if enough people complain I'll dial it down or even switch Selrahc over to a different character. :o)
