Right, though if we bring Lew towards the PH spot we will have pretty good covarage of the area SW of GM. We can also bring the spear back towards TH once we've unfogged the trade route to the Germans, so the axe there can become a roving reserve.

Just to chime in here, I really don't think we need to do two reports a turn here. Most of the time Sullla is following our plan and there's nothing more to discuss because we've already discussed it. And it seems to me that if something comes up that could possibly be discussed, Sullla already posts and asks before ending the turn. In this case, I don't think that this is a huge deal. The axe gets hurt you want to heal it. If we decide to go ahead and send it out anyway it's only a turn behind. We've already decided on the city placement whether we defog to tiles in the 2nd ring before or after the city gets settled doesn't seem to make a difference in my opinion.
SMH... Relax.

I'm very much aware of how much effort you put into this game (more than I do, and I know how much effort I put into it).
What I'm thinking about isn't the amount of effort you put in, but which effort you put in. Right now the main micro effort has been done by you, Novice, and me, but if we could get some more people consistently involved there so you didn't have to do the stuff, I think much can be gained. Likewise if we could get some more people consistently involved in the scouting and military planning besides mostly_harmless. One variable we can control there is how you as the turnplayer play and report the game.

* Writing up and then testing our micro plan(s).
* Playing within the first hour of the turn roll.
* Taking and posting 4-5 screenshots per turn, including trying to indicate the tile micro of every city on every turn.
* Writing up a turn report of roughly 1000 words to describe what's going on and setting the tone for discussion.
If that's not sufficient, then kick me out and replace me with someone else.
You're right, that's of course more than sufficient, and asking you to write two reports every turn is unreasonable. That said, you really don't have to go the extra mile to do your second bullet point - if you let the game rest until your next playing window, that's not a bad thing.
I have to run.

Did our axe in the southwest discover anything new this turn? Where did he move?

He killed a barb warrio that had moved into the forest 1S of the hill where he ended up last turn. No new tiles were revealed.
I've done an updated sandbox, but I haven't put it online yet. Will be up in an hour or two.

I'm only asking that you play the turn a little later when there is something to be discussed. That is not additional effort. In fact, I wasn't really asking you to take screenshots and post about barb moves. Several people log into the game every turn and I was asking someone in general to do that.
And honestly, yes, I do think you miss some things that are posted in the thread from previous turns and I would like a further chance to re-emphasize them. I think we should have moved out with the axe even if it is in its slightly damaged state. I'm not saying that's the consensus, but it should be discussed.

I've been lurking here (and admiring the shared workflow very much) for a bit, here's how I see it:
-Sulla is already doing a lot of work
-Noble's idea would improve teamwork.
What if Sulla gave the turn roll an hour or so before playing, so Noble (or someone else) could look at the turn and present questions/emphasis on plan details.
Obviously this gets pre-empted for time sensitive moves, but this gives Noble's idea a chance without asking Sulla to do more. Sulla, in most cases you'd just have to delay playing the (long awaited, tempting,) turn for just a bit.

Well unfortunately I can't log into the game, or I would. My point is that I'm not asking Sulla to do more at all.

I did it too... https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15215428/ISDG1/...dSwordSave
There was a rice resource and a hill missing from the northern jungle, so I added that.
I think the tile configuration is in concordance with the current micro plan, but the plan is already out of date I think due to Sullla's micro catch. I still haven't had a chance to play through the plan, I'll try to do that tonight.
I have to run.
