Managing to conquer all of Charriu myself would help. I'm kinda surprised Mjmd hasn't jumped in yet. That said, even if I add Charriu's lands to my own, Mjmd's blob will still match me and Pindicator has already conquered two neighbors.

Mjmd is untested in war so perhaps I can defeat him without a distinct advantage, but Pindicator if he gets to recover in peace will be a large mountain to climb. He was the man to beat before he whipped his empire to ground. He spends hours on each turn.

I got my wish, Pindi and Mjmd are in war. Look at Pindi's food skyrocketing. He's ahead of me in food and hammers.

Bombardment sucks. I have 9 catapults bombarding next turn, with 2 more to go. We really are getting Rifling before getting even defenses of one city down.

Important question: If I'm building a musket with 1T to go and get Rifling on turn-over, does it create a musket or change to a rifle?

Tech happens before production iirc

Yes, tech happens before production.

Thanks for the answers.

Rifles are coming. I'm still bombarding JuvenileWizards. I can't advance without Rifles joining in anyway, so it makes sense to bombard down to 0 to minimize losses.

In international news: Pindicator declared the war on Mjmd, killed two cities according to PBSpy, and signed peace now. Mjmd is the one with more power. I think Mjmd needs to gear up in the 10 turns of peace and strike Pindicator or it'll be too late.

JuvenileWizards defenses are down. Rifles are out and on the way. They get odds on the city.

I also moved back some Maces to our culture to upgrade them to Rifles.

18 Rifles built so far, 3 more coming next turn, plus upgrades. I expect to spike to #1 in Power (currently #2).

6 in range to attack JuvenileWizards and Charriu's stack next turn, so I'll finally do that. I might throw in some of the unpromoted cats to sweeten the odds since I don't see myself waiting around to bombard the other cities.

We got Engineering so reinforcement is faster now, thank god. Staying at 0% and grabbing some old techs before deciding what to do next. Cavalry or Cannons most likely.

Might make sense to go after Mr Cairo (assuming he finishes off AT) after Charriu. If he doesn't have Rifles and I show up with a big Rifle stack and Cavs or Cannons on top of that, it should go well.

Mjmd could be future dogpile target between Pindi and Me, but I think Pindi is the bigger threat and it'd strengthen him. Best case for me would still be an indecisive war between those two. I am worried though that Mjmd will not be a match for Pindi, and in a fair fight I wouldn't be either.
