That is talking about night kills. The wolves can eat the saner players first in the first few nights before villagers can sort out likely innocents.

This is a great idea, I'd definitely join smile

Well played by the wolves, anyway. I am just disappointed that village somehow managed to NOT lynch Zakalwe despite Scooter's attempts to sacrifice him lol

so... Xcom themed game anyone?

Honestly though, that's not totally the way you think when you play as a werewolf. In the first few days, we thought two out of these four were masons:

novice/Sandover/uberfish/Ichabod
Irgy - possible baner (it was more of a hunch)

Our other theory that went for quite some time was Roland/Lewwyn = masons.

Sandover/uberfish didn't get killed just because we thought they were "saner," but rather we thought they were quite possibly power roles... Sanity didn't really have a role... We didn't kill Roland (despite him being our other mason theory) because he trusted me and I was the void-wolf.

My point is that wolves never started the game and went "ok, who is the best players - let's kill them" and developed a list of Bob, uberfish, and Sandover. It went more like this:

Day 1: Sandover/novice might be masons, so they are near the top of our lists. Bobchillingworth seems to be intentionally being quiet, as if he wants to fly under the radar... That seems to be a likely power role tactic... Oh screw it, let's kill Bob. Worst case scenario, we killed a regular villager who'd probably play well. Here, I dug up a random email I sent late in the process when we were trying to figure out who to kill:

scooter Wrote:Okay, we're not really near a consensus, so let's try to look at what people are favoring, and correct me if I"m wrong: (alternate choices in parenthesis)

scooter - Sandover (Bob/Lewwyn)
Selrahc - novice
GES - Sandover (Roland/Bob)
Zakalwe - Bob (uberfish/novice)
Bruindane - ?

What happened to all names in that email:

Sandover - we killed him
Bob - we killed him
Lewwyn - vilage suspected him, so we let him be
novice - afraid of baner protection, so took awhile to kill him
Roland - trusted me, so we let him be
uberfish - we killed him

I know you seem to have this fear that WW's are just gonna "kill the smart people" right away, but those who have played as werewolves know that priority #1 is killing any sort of power role early, and killing "smart people" (however you want to define that) is way down the list in terms of priority.

Ichabod Wrote:Day 3 I wasn't able to participate much, but it was awful. I'm sorry Rowain and Lewwyn, but you guys played a very bad game. Lynching you was obviously wrong, in hindsight, but there wasn't much we could do. Both of you attacked PB without any evidence.
With at least as much evidence as happened in every single lynch after day2 wink.

Ichabod Wrote:The whole "I have a plan to get the wolves, so let's lynch PB" from Rowain was difficult to handle. And you didn't post the plan after PB's death. It was highly suspicious, no matter what you say.

There is no sense in following a theory if it is proven wrong so there was little to add after PB turned out innocent.

Ichabod Wrote:Day 5 was horrible. We had two wolves in the stand and Roland's switch is hard to understand. I'm sorry to say that Roland and novice, but you didn't played well as masons. Roland's day 5 switch and roland's vote against PB are very hard to understand now that we know that him and novice were the masons.
This is a thing I really can't understand either. But another thing hard to understand is why was scooter not lynched on day 7? On day 5 we had the near tie with novice voting for scooter. On day 6 again novice and myself voting for scooter. And on day 7 you go and lynch somebody else than scooter banghead.

Ichabod Wrote:The wolves killed good targets in the night, I think. Uberfish is a crazy good player. He had a case against Selrahc, he would have voted to lynch zakalwe (something I tried to do a couple of times based on a post by uberfish, but it never gained traction) and he thought Rowain and PB were innocents. I wish you lived longer, man, since I would have trusted you after day 2. Losing Irgy and Sandover was very bad too, both of them helped, despite having very different ways of playing.

Absolutly agree.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh, Rowain. I am really disappointed about the villager's loss and the fact that I was absolutely lost for almost the whole game.

I can't wait for another game to try and set the record straight :neenernee

Lewwyn Wrote:The only issue was Ichabod was too attached to that random switch by Bruindane.

Here's why Bruindane switched. I'm still surprised nobody saw it. He was voting for Rowain, when he made a dangerous slip and posted this (addressed to Rowain):

Bruindane Wrote:I believe that you believe that he is a wolf.

To which Rowain naturally replied, "why are you voting for me if you think I am innocent?", and thus he had to quickly switch his vote to someone else.

I pointed this slip out in our internal communications and was actually quite nervous that it would bring down Bruindane. But it went ignored, even when this exact vote switch became the focus of later theories against Lewwyn.

I've got a lot of thoughts to add once I get back home.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. lol

Since we're talking about Bruindane slips... He actually DID make another one that got explained away. Remember the infamous gravestone picture where he had the night kill on their awfully quick? That's because he did it an hour before Sareln announced the kill. Funny thing is that novice was joking when he said to check the date created time, since that's not possible with pictures uploaded to a web service - you can only see that data if you viewed it on Bruindane's computer. Bruindane didn't know this, however, and thought he was caught... So he fabricated a story about his laptop not being changed from daylights savings time yet... Which that combined with people thinking he had sufficient time to do it - people let it go. I showed suspicion of it publicly just to cover myself, but we were happy that got passed over... But yeah, Bruidnane definitely made that picture ahead of time, and got lucky that it didn't get seriously considered against him.
