So Sareln in the green's tech thread found a potential issue with the save file:

i'm guessing the game was originally created in Quick speed and then changed manually to Normal? I'm not sure myself what is goign on, but 330 turns is the number of turns in a game on Quick speed.

Let's see if that's even necessary. There may be a way to hack the save and fix it that way - pretty sure I've heard of this happening before, but I can't recall how it was fixed.

I know how you got there -- it happens if the worldbuilder save was originally made on Quick speed then the game started on Normal. It should be fixed if possible, that turn count does affect things, at least the inflation calculation. I have not tried to fix that before but I'll take a shot.

Thing is, I'm away from home (in England!) until next Sunday, so can't try till then. Carry on playing for the moment, I'd say.

Next Sunday? I think it would be wiser to restart now instead of risking losing another week in case it can't be fixed. And if inflation is involved there may be irreparable changes to the game state next week...

I would be ok with Commodore playing the first 3 full rounds to get us back to where we are. We could email our turn by turn instructions and he could play through to the start of T3 and then flip it back to us.

He should use a different dummy password for each player and email / pm that password to us too.
