That's just because you have a high-quality mapmaker . With a more normal delay, you'd have had plenty of time.

The Enemies - A Tactical Guide
Volume IX - Gavagai
Darius of the Aztecs (Financial, Organized, Hunting, Mysticism, Jaguar, Sacrificial Altar)
Known Knowns:
As best I can tell, Gavagai's only previous experience is in PB12, where he played Elizabeth of England. Would love some feedback on how he's doing there, though if its spoiled be sure to spoil it since Noble is dedlurking Serdoa there. Technically, I am too, but I haven't actually checked in to the game since turn 50 or so, so no worries there. Anyway, two games, two choices of FIN leaders, two choices of Civs with bad start techs. My guess - competent new player with stuff to learn.
Darius is one of three top FIN leaders allowed, along with HC and Mansa, and probably the easiest to leverage. Even if you do nothing other than cottage spam and take a nap, your traits will passively get you to a good economy. Obviously, more skill means more output, but the tools are pretty much foolproof. The Sacrificial Altar sounds better than it is. Your heaviest slaving periods come before you can get CoL and get them into play. While FIN wants its production to come from building up cottages and whipping off them for production, you need lots of food to actually be able to accelerate your whip cycle that much. Additionally, if you're whipping that often, you're probably not effectively growing your cottages for the late game. I don't think we've ever really seen anyone use them exceptionally well, partly because I don't think they can be leveraged that heavily, short of an advanced start or something similar. The price you pay for that is an awful Hunting, Mysticism start where you get the two techs you really never want to start with. Hunting because as stated before, you can always tech it before you need it and Mysticism, because it doesn't help your workers. He basically has to open Agriculture, The Wheel, Pottery to get the FIN cottages in play and improve his grain resource and then when he's done with that its still two techs from slaving. I don't see any way Hunting, Mysticism isn't the slowest possible start. Jags suck, thanks for playing.
Known Unknowns:
Again, the question is skill level. The leader is good enough to paper over cracks. Will the Mysticism start tempt to go for Henge, a huge mistake when your start techs ensure you're going to start slow anyway. Just leave Henge to Zaldax, guys. If he can get to the midgame without falling behind, he'll no doubt surge up the leader board with his excellent passive economic traits and all the cheap buildings ORG brings to the table. Will be interesting to watch.
Unknown Unknowns:
Guess this category really doesn't serve much purpose for most of these starts.
Gavagai's Yearbook:
Pro Wrestler Their Personality Most Reminds Me Of:
Likeliness to Succeed:
Quality of Selection:
Exploitable Weakness: Gets distracted trying to leverage which can't be leveraged.
Biggest Fear: Navigates a tricky open, is a beast late on with all those advantages.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Ok, so reading the tealeaves, Seven founded, thus if the starts are equivalent everyone else should settle because Seven is overpowered.
Settled:
Jowy
Gavagi
wetbandit
Mikehendi
Seven
Goreripper
Ended turn without settling:
Retep
Kuro
2metra has logged in but not ended turn. Probably doing a microplan to see how to maximize pissing everyone off.

I was planning to rename us as the "Angry Empire" as a placeholder but then I forgot to do it after taking the screenshot.
