Ya I think if I had been given a little leeway in addition to the changes mentioned I would have moved Sumerias start SW, moved Persian start SE, and added a land bridge at the top between Persia and Carthage.

Am I right in that nobody got any agriculture or hunting resources in their start?

SD has a wet corn. (mind he starts with fishing and has no seafood lol)

The being able to build work boats without fishing is huge for random starts btw.

I realized this when I was taking a screenshot of one of the fish starts and then didn't go back lol.

I've downloaded the map and would suggest to remove it here ATM.
I will setup it probably this evening.

No one ever answered my question on how to get a picture of the whole map, but I figure vagaries are better anyways.

You will get a 512x512 picture of the map if you load it and then resign the game. Now, '[My Games]\Beyond the Sword\Replays\Minimap.dds' shows the map.

Start analysis is always fun. Like doing The Times Crossword but rarer. No two hammer plants and Commodore got royally shafted.

I wonder if he moves away from that start?

SD COULD** do a 2 hammer plant SE. There is a wet wheat there. His start is actually why I asked about if I should reveal tiles. I thought there was a high chance he moved away from the wet corn.

Commodore's start I really wanted to change a clam to a fish..... But in good news he doesn't need AH right away like everyone else. He has a second city that is seafood. His start is also tricky because most of his land is overseas / a little in jungle. I did do a quick count and I think if SD doesn't go over to that island that Commodore will end up with the most food resources without fighting.

It shows Commodore's experience that A) he recognizes that there is jungle underneath him, B) that the above is an island (which I'm guessing this guess is based off said jungle belt), and C) that colossus will be good. In my head I was curious if Commodore or Nauf will build Colossus, but I am hoping Commodore would get (and it would be better for him). I wouldn't doubt he just ignores AH for a while.
