I've selected India because you cannot go wrong with fast workers. The type of game that we are playing hasn't been decided yet. I like the idea of the liar and that is possible in a NTT game. The only downside is what happens when I break a NAP? It'll trash my RB reputation. I guess I could make it look like I agree while (technically) I don't. I would also have to give hints to the players that I was a liar ... I could totally do that!
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Breaking a NAP wouldn't trash your reputation as long as you set down in your thread that you are going to play the liar at the start of the game.
Maybe you could come up with your own (dis)honourable ruleset!

I don't know if you want to make it clear you are lying before the start of the game. Play straight until diplo starts and then they will not be able to prove you are lying.
If you lie about your pick and then they see something else at game start, they will know you are lying already! I like Mansa Musa of India anyway!

Main thinking on Mansa was that I wanted Spiritual (going to really exploit civic swaps - no having to wait for a GA for me) and Mining (quick slavery). The options were ...

Quick mining isn't the smartest choice, it means you won't hook up any food early...so won't have much food to pop. I hope you don;t start with a pig for food
