Well, with lack of any otehr feedback, I went ahead and did as I said, and by the looks of the demographics everybody else had very similar starts and did the same.

Here is the game as of turn 2 (The third turn):

Hmmm.

I believe my thinking was along the lines that I needed culture to pop borders, but conveintly forgot that the palace gave it, or in other words smoke

It should have been a warrior in hindsight, Ioan get in here and stop me making stupid mistakes like this! lol

Hmm, you cant see dropbox pictures... thats a bit of a problem!

We are on a 5 high, 6 wide island, city is on the NW corner. Just finished researching fishing and switched the monument build into a fishing boat.

In BFC we have: Fish, Whales, Wet corn.

Also on island we have: Clam, Fish, wet rice, gold, ivory and I havent explored the NE corner yet.

Research just started on buddism

I will try and get it set up so the save is sent to you too, that way at least you can look at what is happening, and can play turns as needed.

Anyway - I'd prefer to built one more warrior ( latter could be used as Military Police ) instead of Monument ... but this is.
