Apparently it's dangerous to speak either of the Devil or PB14 around these parts.

Because we might as well lurk it! [lurkers thread, no players]

That is not a generalization, that's truth. All right, but just remember that we're having fun (at least, I am) with PB 14, so we're trying to do our best there, especially with the limited time I have.
Honestly, so long as you are all having fun then who cares if the game is being played in an (objectively) skillful manner? It's not like playing CIV is anyone's job.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Ehh. It can be a little cruel. It's possible to be elite and proud without being elitist, just hard.

I haven't read any of PB14 or this, but I was greatly entertained by the above 19 posts.
![]() FWIW, I don't think elitist is an accurate representation. On the whole, I think RB is very welcoming to new players, which is not characteristic of elitists. What we ARE is hyper-critical, which while often entertaining, can also drive people away from the community. Combining that with a vocal handful of the community which is clearly elite, leads to the elitism claim.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
