Was that the toroidal, 7 player PBEM that had 4 days per turn pace, was mirrored with a weird offset to fit all seven players in?
Nah, pass. Looks like we haven't played many 7 player games. But we ain't reusing PB15. (March 24th, 2015, 12:20)Krill Wrote: There aren't that many experienced map makers though. In fact, I think I'm the only person on this forum that will make a map using Torusworld other than Seven. Has anyone asked Seven to do it? Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon (March 25th, 2015, 09:05)flugauto Wrote: How do you make a map? Not until we play a game on the PB24 map. (March 25th, 2015, 09:05)flugauto Wrote: How do you make a map? What are the steps? All the settings to generate the torusworld map are in the sign up thread. The rest is the judgement of how and where resources need placing, why to edit and place mountain ranges, creation of islands and areas of contention. Stuff like that. The PB23 map is a good example of these IMO, but far from perfect. There were a few errors in teh creation of that map. And add more food: lusher maps create many more options. Sparse maps are little more than scripts with a predefined ending unless some players are thick as two planks of wood (or trolls).
