So, right now it looks like the people interested are:

Ventessel
jalapeno
Dreylin
DaveV
Aurorarcher

Kragroth, were you interested in playing or just commenting re: diplomacy?

I'd definitely like to get the wheels turning as far as deciding between 'vanilla' FFH or a modmod thereof, then finding out Civ/leader picks and getting a map set up.

Does any one know who might be interested in creating a map? With five players a mirrored setup is not likely to work out best, at least in my opinion.

There's a mapscript called mirrorland which I can't link to right now but which works really well for pretty well any number of players - assuming you want a mirrored game, of course.

I vote for EitB, but vanilla isn't a deal breaker for me.

I've gotten used to EitB but have no problem with vanilla either.

I attached a number of mirror type mapscripts at

I'd prefer to sit this one out and remain available for basium or hyborem takeover or to assist a player taking turns down tbe road if needed.

I'd prefer EITB v11.1 (since that's what I'm playing in the duel league). I think I prefer mirrorland, as even small differences in land quality can snowball quickly. I'd also be fine with a mapmaker-balanced map.

Do we wanna do anything special to speed the early game up? Extra lush capital, free shade, etc.?

Maybe start with a free worker? (unless you're extra keen to preserve the choice of warrior/worker 1st build...)

Protip: Don't build a warrior first. It's virtually never the right decision.
