Massive costs of building things, traffic jams, it's still all there in civ6. Really disappointed that the devs choose not to try something like stack combat in civ4 that we know works rather than something that simply does not work. Yeah you have corps but that is not until later game, and it doesnt solve the problem of huge traffic jams in the late game either since then you will have traffic jam of corps in the late game.

This was so obvious that I can't believe I just caught on to this. Since the worker will complete on T8 regardless because of the exp bonus, what you can do is grow the city while waiting for borders to pop to claim a 1/2 tile. I am pretty sure that 3f > 4H.

Of course since top power did not increase, it was Khan who researched Hunting. As to my BW problem, I think I will skip agriculture and head to BW after wheel.

Auro got AH, and Thoth got hunting. Latter tech choice is interesting. However, I am still very behind in the key opening techs of BW and Pottery.

Looks like Auro opened with WB first and now he is working a lakefish.

2nd city will go on the desert hill and I can build 2 workers at size 2 while waiting for BW+Pottery. Capital will build 2nd worker then settler since I need the worker turns to road to 2nd city site. Then it can build worker, settler, settler, worker then granary while growing. After granary, I think I will build henge in capital. If I get it great, if not, the fail gold is needed to catchup in tech.

Right now the potential city spots outside the capital look average at best. I might get pottery before BW, cottage up the capital after settling 2nd city then hard build settlers and workers until BW is done.
