Quite a few options for this one. I can see all of PIN, CHOCOLATE, LEMON, FORK, ROSE, NOVEL. We probably have to stick to things which can be bought, otherwise we will have no shortage of words to pick.
I'm not fussy on the ordering of the first 4, but if I had to choose it would probably be:
LEMON
PIN
CHOCOLATE
NOVEL
(gap)
FORK
ROSE
I think JR4 is European. Does anyone on our team know what is cheap in Europe right now?
I don't see any really obvious connections. Cheap NOVEL is the one that's strongest to me. Things can be cheaper in a PORT, and AIR is cheap (in fact it's free on Earth). The other one I see is PIN, since a PIN is cheap on its own and "pin money" is a phrase for a small savings.
I can argue for these, but have to say that nothing seems a lock:
PIN - Pin Money is an allowance to buy cheap items
AIR - Famously free
FALL - Cheap is what you get when prices do this
Stretching:
GAS(oline) - Famously isn't, but some vocal people seem to think it should be
LEMON - The LEMON theory in economics is more about bad driving out good, but the classic example is dodgy second hand cars, which may be suspiciously cheap.

This is the first time I've signed up for this game because I never saw the connections. I still don't.
The only sugggestions I can come up with are AIR and NOVEL, but I can see FALL now others have said it. I'm not sold on any of the choices, but I'd probably say AIR as a first pick and then I yield to others.
Also, I have to come clean and say that my wife is following this game and she thinks JR4 is playing for the other team with that clue...
