[SPOILERS] ALWAYS PEACE? What will Lewwyn do?

Kylearan Wrote:I like how he's playing fair. smile

That's what's fun about playing with Nakor. He never gives up. I've played with him in Pbem 6, 18 and here. In each game, when the tide has turned against him, he has pressed on.

I have a turn update coming tmr morning. It's late and I'd rather go to bed first. lol

So here's that last turn.

I planted a new city north, and you can see the layer I've added. I whipped 2 new settlers to race north and try to start a border north with Nakor.

Here in the south I'm trying to decide if the more aggressive plant is worth it. Before borders popped I was going to plant right up on Nakor and now I'm thinking I'll step it back next to the stone:

Cyne used the only forest for a WB:

I think that's a mistake. He could have a culture inducing granary instead. the granary will be much more growth effective.

Thought this might be interesting:

My side of the world. I've got a huge amount of land left to my north. You can also see where I'm currently focusing my worker attention.

BTW this was turn 150... I don't believe I gave information for Turn 140 either. Pling if your reading this, do you want the city worker count?

Demos:

I teched Liberalism this turn and I'll take Astro next turn. Cyneheard teched Feudalism. I suppose in order to get tech bonus on CS? Or on the way to guilds and and banking? He still needs machinery though and it took up all his saved gold apparently.

I'm reading smile Yeah, I noticed you missed the 140 numbers wink I dunno if there's much point as there's no-one to compare to, I've had no numbers from scooter or Cyneheard for ages & even Nakor skipped the last one iirc (don't have my spreadsheet to hand right now to double check).

Oorah. New turn:

We start with Cyneheard. It's pretty official he's not getting through my settler wall:

I have enough time here that there is no way any settlers get there in time. Additionally all these borders will pop quickly in 5 turns when I switch into caste system for a 5 turns during the golden age. More on that in a bit.

Nakor south:

You can see the new city and the settler that's coming to settle stone. I think I will settle up on Nakor and use an artist to pop the border and steal that forest for the Terrace chop.

North Nakor:

He planted and his road continues north. I have 2 settlers on the way. Hopefully I can cut him off.

Good stuff here. Almost at 1k GNP at breakeven. PP is sort of amazing jive

Heh thanks Mack!

So I have a few good turns to update here. 3 to be specific:

T152:

Cyneheard is being super annoying:

See that settler? I'm betting it settles on the desert hill and tries to steal the Farmed grass there which will seriously hurt the cities growth there.

Good news:

The north is just about sealed up.

Over with Nakor, I'm pushing my settlers as fast as they can go:

Demos:

Still good.

T153:

Here's an interesting shot:

Scooter Stole Nakor's fish so Nakor is coming for my fish. rolleye
I get the feeling that Cyneheard has pushed Scooter pretty badly and Scooter in turn is trying to push on Nakor. Which has led to him not pushing on me until this point.

More Nakor stuff:

Holy crap is settler is coming! MOVE BOYS!

I'm gonna settle in his face.

Demos:

T154:

I decided to settle on the border. I will push it with an artist when I switch into caste. 8cpt with Free Speech. Then I can steal the forest and chop my terrace:

Also:

I think my settler won the race. We'll see next turn.

Here's that annoying Cyne:

I don't have it pictured, but he's got another one of these cities on my border next to Baboons. He may even steal a grass village tile. We'll see. Free Speech should help.

I played T155 today. Will post that later this evening after I format the pictures. Very exciting though. Hint: Got Scientific Method.

Oil in the lake by Sloths?

Heh, no oil on the map!

I was more referring to the fact that I got SM EOT and I'm preparing to pop my GA.

T155:

The border with Nakor is the only real action at this point. Cyneheard keeps popping little cities on our border but once I switch into Free Speech it will be even less significant.

Here I am sealing the border with Nakor and attempting to steal the forest back. Problem is, that worker will beat me by 1 turn I think. Looking back, I should have popped the GA this turn and I would have been able to get the forest before he could finish chopping it. Oh well. The city isn't that important.

In the north:

LAWL. Nakor's settler was 1 tile NW of where it is now. But I popped the city and sent him backwards. I'm going to get the sites I wanted. It must have been disheartening for him to move to that tile and see my settler behind the peak.

Demos:

I'm popping the GA next turn so refer back to this Pic in a moment to compare.

T156:

I start the turn and pop the GA with the GS that has been patiently waiting. I check to for any last whips I want to make. Then I switch into:

HR>FreeSpeech>CS>Nothing yet>OR

In 5 turns I will have StateProperty and I will switch back into Slavery when I switch into State Property.

Demos now look like:

GNP is crazy. My Beakers have doubled! My Culture has doubled! MFG is crazy.

I can't wait to see how fast I tech with SP.

I will tech Communism in 4Ts Which means I have 4Ts of teching other things. I'm going to finish Communism then blitz to the Economics GM. Corporations also give an extra Trade route per city so that may be worth it as well before I go after US and the Spaceship. I am considering maybe all I need is to go straight for the Spaceship. The only issue is that US and Emancipation will be huge for getting more production to construct Spaceship parts. Plus gold rush buy. Thus I think getting the Economics GM, and using it + the GP I pop at the end of the GA to pop another GA once I'm close to US and emancipation will be better in the long run. I will be thinking about it some more as I move forward.

Nakor in the north:

His settler disappeared so its in one of those 2 spots. He can see my settler so I think he'll try to settle on the plain instead of moving closer to that deer.

In south:

My borders will pop the next turn with the artist.

And on the Cyneheard front:

HAHAHA! When the turn switches over I will own that fish and that cow because he used his one forest to chop out a WB instead of a Terrace. So I'll steal them for a few turns. Thanks Cyne.

Anyway this was an awesome turn. The score is so deceptive. I'm so far ahead in beakers and increasing my lead exponentially. Free Speech added about ~50cpt from ~25 Towns and I have more towns maturing every turn. I was correct to go with early cottages over farms.

Just so much commerce... And more Universities and observatories are finishing each turn. Saving that GS for a GA over using it for an academy was the right choice. I will not be building any academies I think. I will pop a GP by the end of the GA and use it to pop another GA with the GM. I will also get the Scientist from Physics and try to pop out 2 more non-sci GPs. Not getting the music GA will hurt in my quest for a 3rd GA.

You'll get a great spy as well from Communism.
I have to run.

Was hoping for that, but actually Espionage is disabled and when I checked the Tech tree, I apparently do not recieve a Great Spy. If I get it it it will be a bonus, but I'm anticipating I won't.
