Commodore has caught me in chat (while I'm waiting for scooter to show) and proposed a nice idea for renaming Whales. He says we should find a fast food chain in Wales. The internet has told me of a place called "Greggs" but i have no idea what that is

So I waited for scooter until we were last to play and then I played the turn. And then, wouldn't you know it, but he shows up 5 minutes after I ended turn crazyeye

Anyway, I promised an overview and here we are, quite possibly at the xenith of the Zulu Empire!

As you can see from the builds I went for infrastructure. Scooter and I are chatting right now and we both want to hit Commodore, so these may not have been good builds. The question is how: we can probably tech to Chemistry OR Nationalism, but if we wait for both them Comm will be running around with Rifles. Well, he may do that anyway.

I don't know if you noticed, but we sort of fought a war and stuff and had things to build and whatnot.

Yeah but you could have just built one fewer catapult or whatever. Come on. That city would be size 4 now and you'd get the catapult back!

Arctic Circle basically exists because GLH exists. I couldn't give the sliiiightest crap about that city. lol

But yes, point conceded we could have been more efficient there.

So Noble. We got a Great Engineer on a 10% roll jive. We've got a couple routes we could go here in the context of a Commodore war, curious to hear what you think.

1) Tech Theology-Drama (revolting to Theocracy before GA ends, we can 1T Theo this turn), whip theaters everywhere, GE-rush Globe, finish Gunpowder and then head to Nationalism to be able to draft. In the meantime whip Knights where we can.
2) Finish Gunpowder, knock out part of Chemistry (it won't do that much of it) with the GE, finish Chemistry, get Frigates into the water to protect ourself, try to do this thing with massed whipped Knights. We already have the Galleons necessary, would just need to whip Knights from basically everywhere. Ignore Drama. Head to Nationalism eventually of course, but it'll be much later this way.

(in case it's not clear, we knocked out HBR this past turn)

Also note: Commodore completed Chemistry this turn. Any thoughts or other ideas? I sense right now Pindicator leans towards option 1, I lean towards option 2, but neither of us are convinced enough to dismiss the other idea. I'm skeptical that building 7 Theaters and getting Globe is worthwhile since we won't be able to draft at first. Pindicator is thinking we can get away with skipping Chemistry. I think that about sums it up.

Well, we were in the "race to Chemistry" mindset before, so we were building Wealth in Culver's and everywhere else was building military. I thought about a work boat this last turn, but really I think it's better to just forget about Arctic Circle.

We may swap to Slavery again at the end of this golden age, and if we do then we can just whip that work boat finished.
