If Nakor is smart, he'll hold off on discovering Liberalism (1 turn away) and wait to see what tech he can get. We probably need to go down the Education path next ourselves, just to force Nakor to cash in his free tech on something relatively inexpensive (Nationalism, Printing Press) instead of an uber Steel or Democracy slingshot.

Democracy slingshot wouldn't be too useful would it? It would cause some unhappiness due to emancipation, net them a lot of beakers and guarantee them the Statue of Liberty.. but compared to getting military technology it seems rather unuber. Frankly I don't see the game lasting for long enough to even make the Statue of Liberty worthwhile.

It's interesting to hear Slaze's side of things with Spullla. Can entirely see where both sides are coming from... don't think either of them are being unreasonable?

I refused to answer danski's question and was disappointed when someone else did. How does he expect to have the benefit of "lurkers" when he doesn't give us anything to lurk?

What I find interesting is slaze's use of Longbows as an attacking force in his army! He has burned three promotions on Combat 1,2 and Cover!

That could have been a super City Garrison 3 protector but alas. He definitely does thing differently, though not necessarily incorrectly!

The Espionage thing would work great for us - it sounds friendly, but we just gained visibility on Nakor's research, and if we both stop spending points, we'll keep that at no cost and can start going for Kathlete's research visibility. Pretty nice, eh?

I don't think he could. Dead players have been considered lurkers, and that would be spoilerish.

Is it a spoiler though? It doesn't really affect the game. A now dead civ could see their research doesn't really have any current application to the game. I know we err to caution, but I'm just not seeing any effects.
