I really liked that idea when I first saw SenpaiLol using it for his support experiment.

I'd love to see more opinions of what measures are important to track. My feeling is that each report should include an estimate of the other head to head matchups - feed/lost lane/even/won lane/fed, something like that.

I also wonder how many strata are real. Does a carry scale really have eleven different buckets? After all, 150 games means that there shouldn't be very many that are more than 2 standard deviations away. Eleven buckets reminds me of setting priority/severity scales in bug reports, where you can really go overboard on fine differences - but as a practical matter the only application is urgent/not urgent.

That said, I'm really impressed that you are paying attention to the average rating, and noticing that it isn't centered where it "ought" to be.

Thanks. I've uploaded it to Google docs; the link is here for those interested. The earlier descriptions were from memory, so there will be some discrepancies, but the average of the 'carry scale' is indeed still just over 5.9.

Wow, I could never play through 150 games of ranked SoloQ. bang It's not about the skill of the other players, but the fact that in every game you lose (and even in some you win) there seems to be a constant atmosphere of negativity, blame and insults.

I recently played a coop vs. ai game where the human team was ahead 30 to 5, yet still players would insult each other because of "killsteals". I don't even want to know what's going on in the decisive game of a promotion series... yikes

Lol lol
I think something can be read from the fact I managed it by mostly playing support and not trying to perpetually call-and-carry from mid. Not yet good enough on Fizz to beat the high plats imo.

I was going to ask if you had this on Google docs.
As I've said - like that you're doing it; my only suggestion would be to add one or two columns to keep track of duos. At least one to denote whether you yourself are duoing or not (the winrate on that would be interesting), but also to maybe keep track of whether there are duos on your team and/or the enemy team.

Can understand this pov, but can only reassure you that no matter what others say, it really does get better the higher you go.
Even from non-experience, you can infer it from the Riot tips where they say "people who rage at teamates lose XX more games blah blah". By default if ragers lose more games, they will tend to be lower elo -> hence likely to experience more raging at lower elos.

From a personal pov, I'm really disappointed that neither the replay function has been implemented yet nor does Lolreplay work atm, because there have been a couple of really cool games I've played in recently.
Games where our team has been really up against it, either due to bad starts or because we *know* that the opposite team has a pair of diamond/plat smurfs currently on Silver 1 accounts. Yet despite this, we still managed to rally together and pull a win out by playing as a team (who'd have thunk it).
You reach a stage where you don't really like playing normals, because it's more fun having something at stake, even if it is only silly intangible 'points'.
And if someone is raging? Just mute.

LoL Replay does work; make sure that you have the most recent version, and then find the actual file wherever it's saved, and launch it directly from there. This will get the replay file to work, while launching it from the LoL Replay client causes bug splats. Yes, I'm also desperate for an official replay system too, been waiting three years now.

Congratulations on the promotion to Platinum pocketbeetle, that is a very fine achievement. smile

Tyvm!

You're right it does work. I tried about a month ago and it failed miserably, so I'm glad to see it's still going.
On a sidenote, I tried recording an ARAM on Howling Abyss and couldn't get that replay to work without bugsplats, but apparently that's a known issue.
