I guess he might yet the last turn or two of peace. I'm still not sure what his intentions are.

Forbidden Palace.
Yep, I was being dumb. Yeah, I've been thinking of building it, but haven't actually started it anywhere yet. Thanks for the suggestions as to where to put it; I was thinking Chiron Stigmata, but it doesn't have any more forests to chop. Yeah, those are good ideas. I'll try and decide between them next turn.
This turn, I did something potentially stupid. See, I was thinking of razing this city, so I didn't have to worry about defending it, but also of stuffing that mace and triple-axe group into it to defend my knights from counterattack after taking it. In the event, I totally forgot about razing to even consider it, and totally derped with regard to the culture mechanics and the fact the roads wouldn't be clear after taking the city. So ... now my knights are exposed to counterattack from the units in Green Dot. I'm hoping the -50% amphibious penalty, combined with my Shock promotions, keeps me relatively safe, but I don't really know, and that bothers me. It would be helpful not to lose a bunch of really valuable knights right before a potential attack by Alhazard. Erg ...

Arg, I did something really stupid this past turn:
Once more blundering about with the culture mechanics, having stuffed as many units into Jungle as possible to try and protect those already there (see my blundering the previous turn), I proposed peace with Miguelito, thinking that would be the perfect protection, on the off-chance he would take it. Well, he did, trapping my units in the city. I proposed Open Borders, but I doubt he'll take it. That's nine knights trapped in the middle of nowhere on the potential eve of war with Alhazard (plus the four knights spent capturing it last turn). Also, Miguelito will be able to destroy them at leisure once the ten turns of peace are up - although I may have them out by then due to the city coming out of revolt and popping borders.
In happier news, you were right, retep, my GNP is improving (second this turn). I accepted a cease-fire offer from Mardoc after he declined peace. Finally, I chopped out Notre Dame in Dawn's Reverie:
(I also finished the Moai Statues in Worm's Lair this turn.)
I'm wondering if I should try for the Statue of Zeus since it seems we didn't ban it (remember this is base BtS) and war weariness seems to stack up really quickly on these small maps. This in addition to the Forbidden Palace and that settler, of course!
So: down 13 knights , up a bunch of happiness due to Notre Dame and peace. Here are the demos:

Good news: Miguelito responded to my offer of Open Borders with Open Borders for gems, which I accepted. My army is freeee! (Though this never should have happened in the first place.) Sadly, he is still not my trading partner, because I lack Astronomy to trade across oceans. Alhazard started a Golden Age and is researching Nationalism. Miguelito took Liberalism, as desired and as predicted by retep. Who will claim the Taj Mahal? I am too far from Nationalism to be able to sneak it out from under them; instead, I finally turned tech on and researched Aesthetics. I think I'll try and build the Statue of Zeus in Wormfang Shrine (Chiron Stigmata started on the Forbidden Palace). I noticed no one appeared to have taken the Music Artist (one Artist has been born, but it was in Miguelito's GP-pump city and a while ago), so I thought I'd try and get that on the way to Military Tradition maybe (picking up Literature and the Epics along the way - actually, come to think of it, I think Miguelito built the Great Library, so it's possible that Artist was the Music one and just happened to be born in the pump city. Hmm ...).

What? I was pretty sure the Music artist already fall to Miguelito.
I was actually curious about what you were going to research. I was thinking you should try to snatch the GM from economics and use it to fire up another GA. You will need, paper, edu, banking and Economics. Either way you could use another GA.
Is there any chance that Miguelito could have Lib Astronomy? That would definitely sucks for you.

Yeah, I'm not sure; it might take some serious analysis to figure out if that Great Artist was from GPP or the tech, since it was in the pump city.
Agreed on the GA. I should run some specialists somewhere soon.
Definitely a chance, since he had been building his cothons. That would make things more difficult, but no more than (maybe not as much as) a powerful land unit. Either way, defending those cities may indeed be problematic.

I'm really worried that Alhazard will attack me next turn. I have large forces in position, but he could do something sneaky and liberate certain of Miguelito's from me to cause me massive problems with culture. Also, I realized The Other Side (and thankfully no other city) has a revolt chance of 8.84%, which will take several, very dangerous, turns to alleviate.

Turns out the Music Artist was taken by Miguelito.
I took some pictures; here are my defences immediately before Alhazard can attack me, should he choose to do so:
Gaining back that iron tile is crucial to the defence of this area, as it means Perrier can no longer be collateralled out of the fog. Also I totally should have burned Hieraconpolis, but I didn't think of it in time.

What are your plans about tech path THH? Any plan for another GA?
I'm checking the saves! You should have picked Literature instead of Drama, so you could startr building you NE already

The switch to Drama was a last-minute decision because I wanted to start buildings pavilions in a couple places right away - one might save The Other Side from flipping, and they'll be important defensively in the new border region. Literature can still be one-turned.
More broadly, I'm still pondering the tech situation. Now that I (uselessly) have Music, I could go for Military Tradition. +2 power for 7 hammers on the best type of unit one can build seems a good trade. Or I could go for Printing Press, Liberalism, or Economics. You recommended Economics; maybe I should go for that one, unless the GM gets taken. The first few techs for those three are the same in any case.
I'm going to select a city to run specialists in as soon as I know whether Alhazard's going to attack me (this turn). Although it might build the National Epic first. I'll also start building that settler you recommended. And the Forbidden Palace.
