The problem is if he doesn't pull his finger out soon he is going to be overrun and turn over well developed and high pop cities to Inca and Korea. That might not be too bad for the game, but to not at least try to hold onto his territory would just be a crying shame.

If Slaze and Spulla hadn't fallen out it is likely Whoisit not scorching his earth would drastically change the balance of power between the two psuedo alliances. As it stands, if he does get overrun then Korea and Inca would both become major powers and the world will look very intersting.

It is amazing to see just how different the world is from the start of the Incan war. Whoisit instead of being a major military threat is now at risk of destruction. Athlete's numerous hordes that were going to carve Inca up, ended up doing nothing except die and force whippings. Jowy went out with a whimper.

not to mention slaze gifting a stack to athlete, I mean seriously wtf?

It is not okay to tell Whosit to 'whip the shit' out of his cities. This may not be a spoiler because you may be able to see from his thread alone that he would need to do it. However, it does break 3a under Krill's lurker rules without question. (Suggestion ideas that the player did not bring up at all.)

If Spulla was going to attack the Athlete then he would want Athlete to take the brunt of the fighting. Given that Spulla have no intention of streaming over the border anyway, which was WHY slaze was annoyed in the first place, it seems utterly unimaginable that he would gift any part of his army to a former invader.

The only possible gain I can see is that he doesn't have to pay maintenance on those stacks. However putting your faith in someone who has clearly demonstrated his ability to swap sides at a lightening pace seems like utter madness. He doesn't know about any of Athlete's other shennanigans, but he has to know that Athlete left Whoisit out to dry in the last campaign.

Edit:Whoisit has whipped catapults and other stuff out before, he just hasn't committed to doing it as much as he probably needs to. Ah well, he will probably learn a great deal about defensive war when he reads how Spulla fought off the dog pile. Or he could just look at what Slaze did to survive the two front war.

Thanks for the correction Re: Espionage not being disabled, but spies banned.
So it would seem Sullla's making a small error then with the claim of GM points from the FP. Maybe just a typo.

Agree about WhoSit - retreating from cities doesn't lose you wars, halfhearted defences do.

While I don't know for sure about Whosit, encouraging ME to create stronger defenses when India was planning that attack (which I strongly suspected, but didn't do shit about) would have probably motivated me enough to actually make those defenses. Especially when it's from a spoiled lurker, my immediate reaction would be to believe that I still have a good chance since a lurker who sees the big picture thinks so.

Does the Spy ban apply to Great Spies roaming rival territories as well?

Which was exactly why I avoided posting anything in your thread. Whoisit is in a very different position though, having been at war for 15 turns but still trying to build infrastructure.

In the first war with India, around 15 turns into the war Greece built the Great Wall, and was working on some Odeons and Libraries instead of spearmen to counter India's massive Horse Archer buildup.

On a side note - Jowy, what is your opinion about that move? I think the situation now might've been a lot different if Greece weren't forced to cede those 2 cities to India, but i'd like to hear your take, since you know better about the situation of your empire than us lurkers.
