I checked the time to heal on our recovering spearman, and realized that I made a mistake in describing the situation here last turn. Units heal 10% of their maximum health each turn they rest in neutral territory, that was I thing that I knew for sure. However, they actually only heal 15% of their max health inside your own borders, not 20%. The 20% number is the rate at which they heal inside your own cities, not simply your borders. My mistake. Therefore, instead of moving 1t + healing for 3t + moving back 1t, it's better simply to heal the axeman in place for 4t at the neutral territory 10% rate. As such I did not move this unit on this turn; the axe will go from 2.8 -> 3.3 health next turn. We can still change if desired for some reason.

Moving into the borders would save 1gpt in unit cost correct? (At least that's what I remember from the MM thread). Seeing as our MM plans are very tight in terms of getting currency done, I'd say might as well do that this turn.

We should move axeman Wyn NE next turn. Moving N will have a greater risk of contact and won't actually reveal any additional tiles because of the riverside forest.

thanks kjn!

didnt realize the tile you meant that was enveloped didnt have culture itself!

so surely the NE city is NE-NE-E of Daiv and most likely 2 more cities just to the east to account for that culture map.

it could also in theory be NE-NE-E-E and have the first borderpop done allready

@Sian: i thought the culture would be a little lighter on the tile N of the lake than the tile NE of the lake if that was the case - hard to tell though

Changed capital over to an axeman as requested:

Unless our micro plan is incredibly tight on beakers, I'm inclined to keep our axeman in the northwest where it is. It sounded like moving inside our borders to save 1 gold/turn won't be necessary, based on what I was reading in the micro thread.

Yeah, the northwest (W1) axe can stay put. We'll be tighter than my first outline (no library in GM) but we should manage. In the worst case we will have to run 40% research on T91, but that's arguably better from a beaker standpoint (that's the turn when FF runs the gold mine).

CFC moved their Axe "Methos" out of Davagati to the tile SW of our scout. Together with the forest chop that went into Indira, my money is on a settling party heading out to the oasis/stone/horses area.

I think it's more likely they will go for the pigs, the cows, or both. If they go directly for the stone, it will take forever for them to link up to the city.

Maybe it's worth it following them with our Scout to see what they are up to?
