Well... quite surprisingly Gasper/noble accepted peace, and i saw why via my workboat. They have a galley that will be able to resettle the city.. HOWEVER, it will be a half-turn too slow muahahah. Tech path is Calendar-Metal casting-Machinery-whip/chop crossbows... and see what happens? Im not beating anyone to knights, and i need to take Byzantium down a notch before they get there too. Archers upgrade into Crossbows right? or is that only if you have both Fued and machinery? Might whip a bunch of archers....
I miscalculated how long it would be till my gold was hooked up so i went this turn with 2 cities unhappy.. Next turn gold is hooked up and the turn after that i have fur. Not too long after THAT i will start getting some calendar happy. Im settling 1 city in 2t, and a mediocre rice/sheep/sugar city that needs a TON of worker labor in about 12t. Less if i whip the settler.
Questions? Answers to my bolded question?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

They do upgrade to crossbow. I think you don't need feudalism, but better test that

I'm going to quote Commodore from when I was asking unit in queue upgrade questions in PB52.
Quote:Just note which units you use. If something upgrades to rifles *or* grenadiers *or* machine guns, then it isn't obsolete until all options are available.

2nd in food...
Mids is there for failgold and possible denial. Real goal is to save gold a turn or two, run thru calendar-Metalcasting-archery-Machinery and then whip into the ground and send a 20 stack of chuckles towards noble. Maybe Serdoa will join in? Im #1 by a LARGE margin in GNP when i turn on tech.

Wait a sec. It's T95 and the mids haven't been built? This is a weird game.

Well Rusten has been in and out of war with Serdoa, Serdoa has been at war with all of his neighbors making him the new Superdeath, and Noble/Lewwyn have been building other wonders and expanding.
Bob has been....
But yeah, it HAS been a weird game.
