The decision to try for Sid's was to test out all the aspects of ToW, for the corporations, even in spite of the nerfed Sid's. I haven't actually thought I'd get anywhere close to a CV since my neighbors will have metal ships and metal tanks in 40 turns to roll over my peaceful artists at their leisure.
Graph dumping. The world is at peace, although I'm sure my neighbors are annoyed with border FS and 70% slider. Culture cities are culturing, slow building the final multiplier buildings. Other folks are teching away. I'm going to catch a draft to biology.

  Demos+   Three Cities:  Standing ready to bulldoze the cottages.  Growing this to 20 and using the extra pop and the workshop pop for artists.  City 3 now with Bio farms! Next 98%+ GA in 7 turns. Low% prophet possible, but can fire a 3-man GA (sacrificing an artist), to generate a few more artists. Something like at least 70 turns away, by then the tanks will have rolled over everything.
In case interested lurkers are unaware (doubtful), the game essentially ended ignominiously about 7 turns ago in a cascading dogpile. I have now been carved up by Gawdzak, Seven, and now Mackoti. This happened about 20 turns sooner than I would have guessed, but the 3 main powers didn't descend into global war elsewhere. I was about 60 turns from any chance at a CV, but it was fun while it lasted. I don't think I had a victory chance higher than 1%, but I went for what I thought was the best path to achieve that.
I don't think that I would have been able to meaningfully keep up proper defenses versus Seven and Gawdzak if I kept up research. Long long coastlines would require defenses everywhere and I would not be able to keep up with the production Gawdzak, let alone Seven, could muster. My production had been pitiful all game. Needless to say, I don't think I could have withstood a meaningful onslaught from Seven anyway as he would eventually out-tech me and produce more of those advanced units than I could. I was also essentially waiving a big sign "I Only Have Rifles" to my neighbors with cossacks, air units, destroyers, and machine guns. So ends Kuro's...Bizarre Adventure. |
