Civs in RtR: Thread 2

I was thinking 15% at first but was scared of making it too strong. 10% really is 20% faster than everyone else because everyone has a granary by then (well, a little less with rounding). So often in MP games the player that gets their cities larger faster has the better economy, and this gives the Khmer the identity of getting big populations faster in their cities than other players.

I missed the NA discussion. Was this already proposed as an idea for them?

And I'm entirely clueless on the Ballistaphant. I figure if we get a good Baray concept down then I'll have an easier time knowing the power level to shoot for in the UU

Its better then a salon for france par example.

Is Tracker+Totem Pole better than Salon+Musketeer though?

With the new tech costs no UU is better then musketeer.So musketeer alone is better then both.

I'd be interested in playing NA in that form. Encourages more early game exploring and fog busting, gives a pseudo CRE for city placement.

Ok, let me put this up for debate. Not expecting this to be anything more than a starting point, but it's worth talking about how to break it and what the numbers look like when you break it.

I like the proposed baray. To be honest I thought about X% food on growth, but I felt that I would put forward another OP idea. lol 

The Ballistaphant looks nice. Would you say that "create baray" + "targets mounted units first outside city" would be too strong?

Another way to look at it would be to say a city with +7fpt would take 30 turns to grow from 5 to 15 with a granary. With a baray at +1 food (so +8 overall) and 10% saved that becomes 22 turns, and at 15% it becomes 20 turns. I was starting to talk myself into +15% because you have to build a 80h building you weren't normally going to build, but maybe 10% is good enough.
