Superdeath wants to be the very best Piñata.

im basically maxed out on cities once i plant my next one.. ill be at 11. THAT is with taking 2 islands that should have probably gone to my neighbors. So my question is:

How would you have settled? Did lewwyn get a TON of bob land because bob planted a really shitty gold city or something? How is he at 16 cities? Am i missing something. Since i have planted all of my cities, im VERY interested where lurkers/ect would have settled. Shouldnt be any kind of spoiler info if you post your answers here. smile

I think i might be able to surprise NoGas with a shitload of Crossbows and at the very least take our border city, and probably burn another or capture it. Im hopeful that i will have enough time/build queues to build a trireme + 1 more galley to burn a coastal city or two.

really makes me sad to finally be upto 11 cities, and notice that no one else seems to have had any trouble finding city locations rant

I do not see a city site that looks off from a financial standpoint. All cities have a food resource and some of them can share food tiles for efficient usage. However, you could have squeezed in more overlapping cities to make fuller use of the grassland east of your capitol. Settling Shanghai 2 east would allow another city 1 west of it. Moving Guangzhou 1 north allows a city between it and Nanjing.

Your land looks slightly underdeveloped also. You still have not farmed the sugar by Nanjing for instance. Cottaging or workshoping the banana by Guangzhou would be good as well. A lot of green tiles unused currently that could be feeding more cities/pop to whip into chu-ko-nu.

Just got iron working/calendar and the borders Just popped for that city. Give me... 5-6t and this land will be perfect. Perfect enough that id almost want to delete workers.

On turn roll i jumped to 2nd in food! NoGas popped a Golden Age and swapped into teching civics so i suspect they will try and get to guilds in the next 10t? if so thats rather impressive. I still hope to do some damage with my UU, and have been saving forests/whips/overflow to hopefully have a nicely sized stack ready to go.

Sent Serdoa this. Id laugh if he hit accept again like a complete fool... but hey, whatever we can do to split NoGas before they get Cataphracts. I think in the next 12t i should have at least 8-10 crossbows ready, with many more still streaming over. I probably should add some catapults, but honestly... Lewwyn has this in the bag due to Bob's weird settlings/low score. The lack of decent land between us to actually settle, being that there was a plains cow, and a plains hill sheep and a ton of plains between us made it easy to choose who to hit. Rusten could still help Bob by hitting Lewwyn, or somehow taking more bob land and then... counter lewwyn? Serdoa im obviously trying to get to attack Noble because that is the right thing to do. We are both instantly dead/mostly dead once they hit knights because Cataphracts should probably still be nerfed a bit. Idk how, maybe increase their cost by a bit to make them harder to pump out? Idk, having nigh-uncounterable units in a game is really quite shit. OR..... maybe give them -50% attack vs pikes? so they still defend well/attack other stuff but get bodied by pikes like they should.

Machinery-construction-Engineering-head for literature for the HE? Dunno if i will make it that far before knights hit the field.

ive got 14 chuckles. i hope to hit him in about 3-4t? im really hoping Serdoa can join in... but shrug. Monkey in the middle with apparently not as many city locations makes me think this is the only way out. ESPECIALLY with 12str knights as a neighbor

going in, in 3t. Goal is border towns if its just me, using the capture gold to get Engineering to at least have a chance vs cataphracts. If serdoa joins in... we try and cut NoGas in half.

Serdoa hasnt responded to any of my "hey lets take out the cataphract guy before he uh... takes us out" offers... and moved a spear/axe combo on top of his worker that is next to my worker. If he decides to take my worker im saying fuck it to this game and sending everything towards Serdoa. I mean that 100%. Would be the dumbest thing he could do, besides the earlier accepting of the rusten for rusten war... lol
